Hi All,

Spoke to dad the other day, we seem to have found out why Leisl went missing... it doesn't provide answers as to if she is ok etc, but it gives us a fairly strong reason as to why. Which is always important.

*snip*

This sounds like a great breakthrough!! I hope this increases your hope that you may find her safe ... best of luck as always.

I'm not going to go into detail other than to say,
a) I can definitely understand why (probably would have done the same)
b) It has nothing to do with our family, the family dynamics or anything in that line (given that people have speculated that she left because of it)
c) It is fairly serious

As a result, as much as I know you are probably wanting to know, it's in the best interests not to make it public. It does make the text messages that dad got make sense however.

Hope you are all enjoying your week. I am in the middle of nightshift, so please excuse any spelling errors etc!

Cheers,
J

Thanks Eccsci - I hope this helps to find her and she can come home to be with you all.

Thanks. I guess if she is on the run from the police or someone who would harm her if she told about something they did, then she probably thought it best to keep it from her family.

I hope for you all that she can send you a sign that she is okay - even if she can't come home. I assume that hopefully if someone was after her that you know who and why and perhaps you can help clear things up to let her come back.

Hi,
It is a relief that new light is being shed and in turn is making some sort of sense of her actions.
I do hope that she can get a message to her family that he is ok. It has also been so kind of J. To share what she can as it really isn't any of our business but we are concerned and it is very relieving to know that there a decent people out there that care and want to band together for the safety and protection of our community. Takes me back to the good old days.
Hoping for a good outcome.

I.K.

Search for missing woman takes twist

Date April 5, 2013 - 7:35AM

The search for missing central coast woman Leisl Smith has taken a dramatic turn with police searching a property located less than a kilometre from her family home.

Eight months on and in a major development in the investigation, police spent Thursday searching the property in the same street where Leisl had been living with her father, Storm Smith.

The property is owned by a local farrier who is understood to have known the missing 23-year-old, who also worked with horses.

A second property at Clarence Town, just north of Newcastle, that is linked to the same man was also searched.
