Can the the 'Strike Force' enlighten us on anything?
:bump:
:scared:
On the 19th August 2012 23 year old Leisl Smith told her dad she was ducking out for a few hours but would be home that afternoon to feed her much loved animals.
It's been almost one year since she left and apart from two text messages shortly after her disappearance her family have not heard from her since.
<modsnip>I check Leisl's thread often for updates - a year is far too long without some news or resolutionhttp://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/triplej/hack/daily/hack_thurs_2013_8_1.mp3
Hi All,
Above is the link to the Hack Program that I did the interview for. We have heard nothing from the Strike Force or the PIC of NSW. I know that many people are probably wondering re the POI's name and the 'Welder' but please remember that people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and naming people or assuming guilt where no trial etc has been conducted can actually cause huge issues. It can potentially give the defence a basis of presumption and bias and can get the case thrown out of court (not saying this is what would happen).
It is partly for the reasons above that I do not mention this person(s) name and also while our family and I might have our suspicions about what this person does or doesn't know, and while we may like his name to be plastered all over the media, he is entitled to the same courtesy and privacy that we are.
Please remember this.
Thanks guys, hope you are all doing well. This week has been a little intense.
Cheers,
J x

Thanks for your post, and for your dignity and restraint eccsci. <modsnip>I check Leisl's thread often for updates - a year is far too long without some news or resolution![]()
BBM - Nobody here is trying to name and shame anyone - If they were there would be a few names already mentioned. All most of us are trying to do is to help find Leisl - and we need information to enable us to Sleuth, which is why we are here in the first place.
So you see, we do have an idea and a conscience.
Personally I think you need more than a "family lawyer" and a dang decent 'legal person' to really get to the crux of this case and find Leisl in any way or form - sorry - just my opinion.Hi All,
You won't hear anything from me for a while, as due to various reasons, any further statements will be put through our family lawyer (he represents myself, my dad and the rest of my siblings).
Hope you are all well and look after yourselves. I will drop by regularly to read though![]()

I really feel for you and your family.
