Lisa Harnum's mum speaks about the woman dating Simon Gittany

Joan Harnum looked into the eyes of the woman dating the man who murdered her daughter and only saw unhappiness.

SMH seem to be hiding their links

Websleuth's do block certain MSM links if they are behind paywalls etc. but your links are working, thank you.

Just have to say, that video is totally bizarre!

Looking at the video of RL - anyone else notice the ring on her finger?

How heartbreaking is this! Joan Harnum had to watch RL accompany GS to court every day and all the time RL was reminding her of Lisa. This is just so sad.

BBM.

It would have been horrendous for Lisa's mum! All up I think it was more of the criminal's mind games. A deliberate ploy, having someone who looked so similar to Lisa constantly by his side....kind of like rubbing it in.

As to Gittanys occupation, I wonder whether his vitamin business was a front for supplying drugs. Especially if his vitamin business was essentially run "online".

IMO

I think you've hit the nail on the head MadameH.

So cruel isn't it? Joan Harnum admits to having been worried about RL and feeling sorry for her. Mrs. Harnum has run the gamut of emotions over the death of Lisa but she still is able to feel compassion for RL. Totally wasted IMO.

Joan Harnum is an amazing woman.

why, thankyou kind lady. Wouldn't surprise me though. As the Americans on here say, "its hinky". Dont know what that means yet, but I like the sound of it.

Its interesting how often the friends and family of accused violent offenders so often mirror them, with their behaviour at court when you often seem them attacking jouralists or shouting abuse and generally acting like thugs.

Initially you wondered, how Simon hooked his glamorous gf, and what on earth is she doing associating with such a scum bag, yet after her wacky behavior today, and the way she stood there asking all the journalists for a lighter, you realized how she is with Gittany. <modsnip>

Just watched Ch 10 news and apparently Mumma Gittany wasn't taken away in the ambulance! The family thought she may have needed an ambulance and after it arrived she declined the ride!

You can walk to St Vincent's from there, it's just around the damned corner!

Yeah, I like the word hinky and do use it sometimes. LOL. We Aussie's are more likely to say "its off" or its sus (as in suspect).

I truly believe that SG was regularly dipping into his own vitamins IYKWIM.

The Gittany judgment is chilling reading.

"I cannot know exactly what happened in that apartment in the minute or so following the struggle at the door..."

Matthew Snelson ‏@mattsnelson9 40m
"...but I think it is likely that Lisa Harnum was at some point rendered unconscious."

Imma read the judgment now, but only from where Her Honour talks about the eye witnesses. From thereon in is the juicy stuff!

*spoken like a true lawyer*

So, I'm reading the transcript.

I was going to wait until I was done before posting, but I am absolutely INCENSED that SG got Lisa to work for his friend for free for 7 weeks - and in a lesser capacity than she was capable of.

Talk about creating dependence. I know you wont access your emergency funds, so I will force you to. You can pay the bills this month, because then if you dont have cash (or an INCOME) you cant leave me.

Yes, Lisa may have had more than 10,000 in her bank account. If you were living away from your family, you'd have that and more - for urgent trips back, or even medical expenses here (reciproical health care agreement only goes so far).

how heartless of you Mrs Norris.

She could have been having a coronary.

Dear Joan,
Justice has prevailed today for you and your beautiful daughter.
I cannot imagine what the road to this point has been like for you.
I'm so sorry.
Sending you strength now - today has been monumental beyond words.
