I also don't believe he gives a hoot about RL. Why would you allow someone to get emotionally involved with you, whilst you have a potential decision pending that needs finalising ? With an unknown outcome, why would you put someone else through that if you cared about them ? Also, 2 years (in my opinion) is no where near long enough to get over the death of someone you truly loved.....if you truly loved them. IMO.

There are some shallow people in the world. IMO.

Makara that bystander certainly does look like he 'copped an eyeful':floorlaugh:
More evidence of his shocking hypocrisy was the fact that on the night before Lisa's death he got up in the middle of the night to watch 🤬🤬🤬🤬! And yet he has the nerve to tell Lisa to never look at another man in the street? ? Classic case of 'projection'. The one in the relationship who is paranoid about infidelity is the ONLY one having those thoughts!!:banghead:

Agree JJ, although I don't believe RL is totally invested either. Granted, she has seemed emotional at times, but she isn't she an actress as well as a model? I think its a matter of 'all publicity is good publicity'.

Not to mention the total lack of compassion for LH's mother by showing up with a girl hanging off your arm. His actions speaks volumes. IMO.

I've been musing over what you just mentioned too Monty.

So the timeline of the day.

5am. SG gets up to watch 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

10am (well, just before), Lisa is dead.

Was he ever asked on record to account for the intervening 5 hours?
What transpired in those 5 hours?

If 48 hours prior to death, SG was livid enough to threaten the counsellor - what were LH's last two days on this earth like?

Was she a prisoner - making her one chance to escape?

ICU now that you mention it, maybe. According to SG, the night before, they watched Romeo and Juliett snuggled up in bed? Is there any proof of this? And yet 2 days prior, he was angry enough to threaten the counsellor. So, if they did happily watch the movie (this would involve the unlikely occurance of SG telling the truth), perhaps this was Lisa 'faking' until the time was right to leave. If not, it could have been a terrifying few days for her - even worse than we first thought.

The thing is though, why would she wait until a Saturday, when he is home, to make her one chance to escape ? Why not wait until a weekday, or anyday that he is not there ? That's why I still think that an argument broke out that morning, possibly over the 'surveillance note' or maybe just about anything else.....but she either had had enough or just got really frightened (or both). Let's not forget, SG was still in his sleepwear and LH was dressed and 'ready to go' that morning.

I also would like to know if 'monitoring' of someone's emails, computer usage and phone calls is legal, particularly when the monitored party is not made aware of it ? I always thought that police have to go through some sort of process to gain permission to monitor someone's phone calls and have to log out every so often so that it's not a continuous surveillance. I don't understand how a company can sell this type of service to the general public, unless things have changed ?

I didn't believe it when I read your post! So I searched out where on earth you found that. SMH 5 Nov 2013. My Apologies for disbelief.
What sort of person casually wakes up at 5am to watch 🤬🤬🤬🤬??
Reminded me of GBC when he found it necessary to describe his morning ablutions, nonchalantly, when a potentially very grave deadly serious other matter was at hand. Was watching 🤬🤬🤬🤬 the lesser of the two evils?
Having said that, I don't believe a single word that has come from his mouth.
Also thanks ICU nurse for making up a timeline of events.
It is certainly pretty sketchy. Somewhere in there from ? time and right up to Lisa's last moments, a loud argument was occurring, during which Lisa was screaming for help.
(Doesn't sound very Romeo and Juliet-ish)
Included in that timeline, SG was wearing pyjama pants and no shirt when he seen at the balcony.
Lisa was wearing black, though I have not read anywhere exactly WHAT she was wearing. Was she dressed in day clothes and ready to escape?

The night before her death Mr Gittany said the pair fell asleep watching the movie Romeo and Juliet "arm in arm". He then woke about 5am and watched 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on a computer.

Sometime that morning they argued about Mr Gittany’s surveillance of Ms Harnum.

"I told her to pack her bags and she could leave tomorrow."

But when he woke again about 9.30am, Mr Gittany did not want Ms Harnum to go.

I've mentioned before that I believe that RL was acting out the role of SG's girlfriend and I still believe this. I don't mean that it was a paid gig. More an agreement within the family that she plays the role of his girlfriend.

Whenever I see photos of RL and SG together it reminds me of an incident that happened to me when I was young and cute. :floorlaugh: I'd just started casually going out with a guy (who thought he was s**t hot - he wasn't). He's not of the same ethnicity as SG (close but, just hang a left when you get to Turkey) but his mindset reminds me so much of what I've learned about SG. Narcissistic to say the least! On one particular occasion he asked me to attend a family function, but not with him! He wanted me to accompany his brother as his girlfriend. The brother had the hots for a girl who would also be at the party and he wanted to make her jealous! The bonus was I would be given $100 to buy a new dress! Yeah, I know, what a cheapskate but this was in the '70's. $100 was a lot back then simply to splurge on a dress.

What was a girl to do? Well I told him to shove his $100 and to FO out of my face. I never saw him again. Thank God!

If we rewind to the previous day, she called her mother...

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/nsw/simon-gittany-denies-murdering-lisa-harnum-20131105-2wydm.htm

A day before she was allegedly murdered by her "controlling and abusive" fiance, Canadian hairdresser Lisa Harnum called her mother in distress, asking "mummy, please come and get me," a court has heard.

Then that night....

Later that night, the young woman allegedly rang her mother back and said "mummy, remember that I love you ... if anything happens to me, call Michelle [her counsellor]."

I think he'd been threatening to kill her over the previous days & she wrote the note that same night when she called her mum, tore it up, put it in her pocket in case anything did happen to her over the course of the next few hours. If he did kill her she would have known police would find the note & subsequently locate the cameras.

Which as it turns out, was indeed the case.

Thanks MarlyWings....but then why the need to rip the note up ? Why not just write it and fold it and shove it in your pocket ? It wouldn't surprise me if, at 5.00am SG was checking all of his recorded surveillance stuff whilst LH slept or doing whatever he usually did, ie. going through her pockets, drawers, dirty washing, handbag etc etc and found that note at that time. Went back to bed, absolutely STEWING over it. Then he made sure he got up the same time as LH so he could 'have it out with her'. IMO.

Thanks TGY. Thank God Marly has just started a new thread. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow. :scared:

I went to lunch with 3 girls today & all three thought he didn't kill her beyond all reasonable doubt!! Huh? doh?!

Will it be a closed court? Will the public be allowed? If I leave now & get there by 6pm tonight I can pitch that tent outside the court house doors & be first in line!

After a cooked breakfast of course! What do you recon Flinders? :seeya:

IMO : I believe the lack of LH's fingerprints on the metre plus high glass balcony ballustrade and the finger / palm print left by SG, PLUS the witness down below who testified he saw someone offloading black luggage in the minute or so SG clearly assaulted LH in the hallway of the apartment, is enough to satisfy 'reasonable doubt'. IMO

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Does anyone know if the neighbour that heard screams and saw the door shaking, actually did anything about it? Iv'e been thinking that even a knock at their door or yelling out 'do you need the police?' or 'I'm calling the police', might have been enough to snap him out of his blind rage. I realize that none of us really know how we would respond in such a situation, and maybe stepping in goes against our natural instinct to protect ourselves. Looking at the situation now, after the fact, if the neighbour had stepped in, I don't believe they would have been in any danger. His rage was all directed at Lisa. I think if they had knocked or yelled out, he would have instantly known there are witnesses and he might have stopped...IMO. I'd like to think now if I ever hear anything that sounds like a person needs help, I will do something!

Respectfully snipped by me ...
This photo makes me laugh, or the young guy behind RL does at least. He obviously copped an eyeful as RL walked past. :floorlaugh:
