Police search northern Adelaide wetlands for missing man Lochlan Mortimer-Shearer, 18

Police searching wetlands in Adelaide’s northern suburbs for a man who has been missing since June 20 have recovered a sodden backpack.
Channel 7 reported this week that Mr Mortimer-Shearer was a well-known car thief who regularly stole Nissan Skylines and other Japanese models.
It said there had been threats made against him on social media by victims who were seeking retribution.

Just saw on the news the police said the backpack that was found had nothing to do with the missing person.

Police today released a statement saying the body of Mr Mortimer-Shearer, who was last seen on June 20, was found at Dry Creek.

No foul play suspected.
