Just before leaving Australia, Ms Barter was spotted late one night in May 1997 at a petrol station. The man seen in the passenger seat of her car has never been identified

I get what you are thinking and asked one of the lady vanishes team if they could confirm the date. All that can be confirmed is the time which was at 9pm in the evening sometime in May 1997.

Marion was driving her own car, and the "mystery" man was a passenger in the front seat.

I think that there is a link between the disappearance of John Hines and that of Marion.

If there is a connection I haven't found one yet, only the same year they went missing and in the same town.

On the final day of the inquest into the disappearance into Marion Barter, a five-day extension to take place in the new year was announced, to allow NSW Police to follow up leads that were yet to be pursued.

Those leads include finding out where the shipping container holding many of Marion’s valuable antiques and artworks ended up, as well as her strange connection to Luxembourg.

Hello, is it possible that Marion could now have hip issues?. I say this because an elderly lady lives near me on her own and has real trouble walking. I often help her with her groceries. The resemblance to the images shown of Marion are strikingly similar to this lady who goes by the name of 'Jean'. What is even more interesting is I know this lady rents he studio apartment and has no services connected and the provision of water both hot & cold comes with her tenancy. I have spoken to her many times and she speaks extremely well and is always groomed very well. She does not have any family or anything and keeps very much to herself. The age profile marries up as well because my mum is the same age as Marion would be now and 'Jean' has aged very similar to how my mum has aged. What do I do about this. Should I somehow try and take a photo of her and post it here or just ask her straight out if her name is Marion?. She knows me and trusts me enough to place her groceries at her door.

I would contact the police as a homicide investigation. It is not known if Marion could be coherced by someone so bringing undue attention could put the lady in danger if it is Marion.

Her family said that Marion was quite Bohemian in her ways and would have liked to have lived on some kind of commune. I think the young liberals event may have been influenced by one of her former husbands.
