I also wouldn't believe all he tells MC. He probably told her more truths because he was besotted by her but he also loves to play on sympathy so having said all his family were gassed in the camps would align with his narcissistic personality.

MC didn't seem to connect the question on selling a lounge suite to FR with RB been a furniture salesman, I now wonder how true any of that story is that he ran a furniture company. Or was he a fully time British intelligence agent

She did say "one day while he and I were working in Luxembourg city" Kind of odd, did they work together ? or did she say walking (the accent is hard to understand) 33.03 of the podcast

We need transcripts. Not that long ago I was able to understand most of what the podcast RB actors said, but I seem to have lost the knack now

I agree, and also noticed in RB's initial statement to police he said...
"Fernand bought a lounge from me when I was moving from Luxembourg"

That sounded more like a personal sale of his furniture than a business transaction from a factory to me.

MC said that they were WALKING not working. It's that horrible accent they use on the TLV podcast.

This is a single gold coin that was put up for Auction in March last year, 2021. It had a starting bid of $8,000. "Ex Collection of Mgr. Franz Ernst von Salm- Reifferscheid (1698-1770), Bishop of Tournai (1731-1770); to the collection of the Abbot Georges Dufour, cure of the Parish of St.Piat in Tournai (died 1939) by descent; acquired by grandfather (died 1949) by succession then to the current collector's grandmother, Maria Coppenolle de Froyennes (died 1990).
Lot includes 3 page description of the coin and five (5) coloured photographs with enlargements x 2 of this coin and a copy of the Vinchon catalogue as an Auction Sale, 11 February 1963 illustrating another example of this coin, that notes six examples of the coin type known."
This is a coin from the "Coppenolle Collection", there are records dating back years of coins sold under this collection name in the public domain.

Interesting bit of info from 2010:

"A long term client is offering his Roman and European coins (supplied with extensive handwritten notes) under his family name Coppenolle. The McHugh Greek and Roman coins have added appreciably to this area in the sale."

C.Inquest: "Does your coin collection have a name?" Blum: "no"

IMO, HE created the 'collection' from stolen coins. He then created it's provenance, chucking in a real Bishop of Tournai and an obscure Catholic Abbot for authenticity. MOO

There will be a transcript.. it’s coming, it’s not there yet but here’s the link for when it does.

I think it will be a $5 to view it though.. not sure I’m unfamiliar with podscribe

It's pretty sad when we have to pay $5 for a transcript so we can understand a podcast we pay Spotify to listen to. Just sayin' IMO

I think that height in his capture report is an error. I wouldn't be concerned about the height that was written down. His wife and other family members are very tall.

Robert C fiancee WAS gassed in the camp just before liberation so there is some truth in his BS, IF she was his mother.
Personally I dont think she was.
The de Hedervary name is also Hungarian I believe. He marries a Hungarian before her untimely death at a crossroads in Australia. Was he a young Hungarian Jewish orphan that ended up in Belgium through the Roman Catholic Church? Was he drawn to Australia with his then wife because of many Hungarian immigrants choosing to live there?

There are quite a few of us who believe his birth mother was Hungarian. We differ on her exact identity though. So yes, IMO he is probably half Hungarian on his maternal side; Belgian on his paternal side.

I'm not completely sold on the orphanage story but I can't prove otherwise.

Why did he come to Australia? IMO, to build a nest; a safe haven. There was a saying in the 1960's "Everyone's heard of Australia, but nobody knows where it is".

Yeah I thought they’d just put it up on fb page… I messaged and asked them to ideally lose the French people so we can hear and understand what’s in the podcast or do a transcript. The reply was the link and it will be up in a few days

Very interesting to translate the descriptions on the photos. Google translate says that the language is Western Frisian. the final photo posted above has a translation from Google
"Description
The charters guild located in the "Lion of Flanders" celebrated its champion. This they probably did in the "Lion of Flanders" but the photo was taken for the occasion in front of the champion's house, viz. Maurice De Puydt. House De Puydt - Dewulf was a matter of timepieces and jewelry"
Seems Willy Coppenolle had an interest in jewellery at that time.

I think we have all struggled trying to understand that and most of what the person reading Rb’s responses. Really hope TLV consider losing the ‘French authenticity’ and just have a male read. So we can all hear clearly what is being said.

I'm really fond of the reader and can only hear AKA as the reader's voice. But then I love plays and dialogue and authentic voices. I'm sure I'm a minority on here. What's important about the accent is that it helps us remember how AKA used it to his advantage in his crimes. He could, knowingly or not, obsure information easily-- and it gave him a built in excuse. "Forgive me, I do not know ze word you use" etc. The accent also reminds us of the power of a foreign accent in seduction. Sad but true. Mark Twain wrote a cool short story on this very theme. Americans SWOON for British accents.

By using a reader's accent, we are constantly reminded what the court and judge heard. THIS seems very important to me. To have a straight AUS voice reading it would not be representative. Always, we must analyze what is lie and what is mistake; what is calculated and what is unfortunately misunderstood.

I noticed in the newest podcast they defend the readers. They are not actors. They are not paid.

I loved the most recent podcast episode. I liked how they made Marion the focus of it and related everything AKA back to her.

If this case is ever to have a reasonable conclusion it will be by connecting AKA to Marion in irrefutable ways. Even circumstantial connections can have power in convicting him.

For instance, in seeing the graphic posted recently, we SEE that Janet's itinerary in UK regionally matches MB's. Janet is a proven victim of AKA, therefore if her experience mirrors MB's, it can reflect that what AKA did to Janet was likely to have been done or plotted against Marion.
