IMO, RB creates his own reality, he plays mind games to confuse and gaslight; even when hard evidence is placed in front of him he will assert that evidence is wrong. He admits things that don't matter or conflict with his narrative, then denies, then he can't remember.

- He placed the ad - Yes, because it doesn't matter, it has nothing to do with Marion.
- Marion replied - He has changed his evidence numerous times, created confusion and diversion from the real way he met Marion. IMO it was at the Art Centre which he flatly denied.
- He visited Marion - Yes, because he initially believed the police had witnesses.
- Marion called his home - Yes, no, and last evidence was maybe, can't remember.
- Marion visited his home - IMO, a concocted story to divert attention to the mythical pilot character.

So, we have him admitting placing an ad in 1994 and visiting Marion a couple of times in 1997.
You really have to listen carefully to ALL his inquest evidence (multiple times) to understand how he functions.

Oh and she called him at the bus stop
And she didn’t call because she didn’t have his number in case his wife answered the ph
Yet she has the address to collect her boxes?
Nothing he says is real in the way a normal person says things.
Gaslighting and confusion is exactly what he does. To women, most likely to his family and also when in court.
If it’s white he will say black once it’s agreed it’s black he will say it’s white. Then when you question is it black or white.. he won’t remember.
This may work on women he has cast his spell on but it doesn’t work in court all he has achieved is proven he lies and is devious, which I hope will be the coroners opinion.

His gaslighting tactics I believe will be what undoes him now.

RB could well have travelled overseas, possibly on an alias that has not yet been uncovered.

Yes the gap from 94 to 97… there had to be other scams whether here or OS. But I’d naturally assume there’s more women here.. but if the alias hasn’t been discovered any victims here wouldn’t know it was him.
Only if they had been done over by one of the aliases in the media.

I keep circling around to the idea that RB encouraged Marion to take her own life. So when he says he didn’t murder her, he is adhering to the letter of the Law but not the spirit. MOO he caused her disappearance.

There are reasons why I keep thinking about this scenario which has to do with a family member who went through a similar experience to Marion in 1997-98, also based on the Gold Coast. Wasn’t anything to do with RB but has strong parallels. Certainly given me some thoughts as to what Marion may have sadly experienced, such as her complete devastation when the penny dropped re:RB’s true intentions. MOO Marion may have seen a scary and completely unattractive side to him. Her regret would be immense. It’s really depressing to contemplate, even moreso now that we all have seen what kind of person he is.

Oh and I think he owns lots of properties and I think there should be a *go fund me* for a forensic accountant to find all of his assets followed up by a civil suit. Just my idea. I’m assuming there will be no criminal followup which may not be the case at all.

It's heartbreaking to think how many women he's likely scammed.

With these type of adverts, it's easy to know that a person answering is already an 'easy mark' pre-disposed to self abandonment and co-dependence, desperate for romance.

There are way too many red flags for someone with high self esteem to not do anything other than laugh at the mere idea of someone so successful, confident, good looking, and full of themselves wanting to meet someone kind and caring.

Agree with the forensic accountancy!

I doubt RB would rely on someone taking their own life. It's not certain enough and many people are not at all successful in suicide attempts.

No doubt about it, to be abused in the way RB does would leave a woman despairing and suicidal.

I hope and pray his family speak out against him. There is nothing in the world that can justify anyone to support and cover up this evil predatory sickness.

Totally agree. Nothing he says means anything. He makes sure of that. I have a close relative who does the same because she's an extreme narcissist and needs to control the narrative at all times, even when there is seemingly no reason or point. For this type of person, it's a cover-all blanket policy they use. That means they can never be held accountable for anything. So they think.

His family will know this. I hope they're reading this.

After watching the inquest (many times) I can only imagine the mental trauma of living with RB for 40 years, the gaslighting, the lies and controlling behavour. It's likely that DdH is unable to think independently outside her assigned role as homemaker and mother. It was very telling when RB said "she doesn't ask questions". She probably learned many years ago that there was no point because she never received a straight, truthful answer and HE is always right. ,
IMO, she knew about most, not all, of his criminal activities.
I hope, after his shameful 'outing' and embarrassing performance at the inquest, his children convince her to leave and tell all. Unfortunately IMO, after 40 years, she'll probably stay to the bitter end.

I agree. Unless she is a secret rebel who has a lifelong hatred and resentment of him that she's never acted on, or she's a happy fellow criminal, she'll be unable to form her own independent thoughts and would need de-programming in the same way as someone who's been in a cult all their life.

What is in evidence is that DDH knew about some of the official name changes. People change their name for a number of reasons, nothing wrong with that...but if someone changes their name a few times, then that says to me they are hiding from something/someone. IMO DDH decided quite early on to accept what she had in terms of a husband and family, and not to ask too many questions about it. Easier to bury your head in the sand than face facts like adultery, fraud, criminal dealings. JMO.

This is my first post , although I’ve been following the case since 2019, I’ve just counted the amounts stolen via his charge sheet on NAA, it came to approx 32000 gbp which in the sixties was around half a million gbp, astonishing Amount of money
