A person from the village confirmed that there was a furniture store next to an electronics store, run by a person with the name David. Later, there was another store in the nearby town of Schifflange, the villager explained, adding that the person who ran the store was known to use more than one name.

The Luxembourg Trade Register lists a store named “L'Européenne du Meuble (Mobigros)” as the first result when searching for “l'Européenne du Siege”. It says the store was founded in 1980, but the records have been deleted. Other websites, such as opencoroporates.com , show that Mobigros' address matches the one mentioned in the Australian exhibit.

You can still search the records, even though the company is removed. See my previous post

I don't see any resemblance to the couple in the middle.
I do see a strong resemblance to RB and DDH to the couple on the right.

Thank you! I was a bit surprised when I heard this on the podcast. I don't know if it will lead to anything? Yes you're right @mishy66 it does take a village :)

I still think Renov Pubs is something to do with stamps being rejuvenated or similar.

I haven't been posting on here but following closely reading all the updates.
I posted this a while back..but “une pub” is “an advert” in French, and as graphic design and photography (for the purposes of forgery?! LOL) fits with RB’s “skill set”, IMO it is likely to be more to do with advertising.

On his Belgium crimesheet for late 1976 and early 1977 it states Bernard Dupont domiciled at 17 Hampden Street, Paddington (England). I’ve been slow on the uptake but that address is in NSW Australia.

The 2 vehicle plates (CD22 and ECD4104) described as ‘English’. Did they mean Australian?

Hi Lord Peter, neither of those plates look like standard issue plates for that period. For NSW it was usually ABC 123 format. Perhaps European?

I agree, RB and DDH on the right.
I read the article and it said the store was linked to a small furniture factory, which I think ties in.
I am now struggling to read posts here, adverts are now appearing over the top of posts and I can't actually close them. I realise it is the major source of revenue, but trying to read bits of sentences underneath advert pictures is just ridiculous.

I just checked that address - there is a commercial building 15-21 Hampton St Paddington which may have been built after 1977. The adjacent original old houses are quite small, so there may have been a No.17 back then but who knows, he tells so many lies.

I love this line from the Le Luxembourg article: "Then Ric Blum began testifying in February and April, telling a story in which it was difficult to distinguish between the probable, the possible and the patently false."

Agree I have to battle a wall of adverts before I can even read the posts, some days I cant even read the threads as the amount of ads only allow me to see a few mm's at a time, its ridiculous, my current view has 12 ads in it, never seen anything like this on website. It getting to frustrating to even bother logging on which is a shame.

Is it possible that this photo from "Le Luxembourg" in 1981 of a "Mr David" is actually RB with DdeH beside him??
Wow! That really looks like him, second from right! Great find!!

Great sleuthing! I’d bet my bottom dollar that is RB second from right. Even in a grainy black and white image the gaze and the height give it away IMO.

May
I am getting a bit confused now. I see the comparison to the man on the right being tall as per AKA, but the man in the centre looks like the 1986 passport photo of FDeH with a moustache. Both of the women are uncannily similar to MB!!!
Maybe another “relative”?!

  • #1,077
I think RB is taller than the man on the left and the women far right looks like his daughter so I think they are the couple on the right - my guess lol
I agree, the man in the middle is too short for RB
IMO

How does he go from running a furniture business to needing a disability pension? Seems like he can “work.” Use of the name David here certainly seems to implicate DDH in at least some knowledge of his using that name.

The whole article was posted on MB FB page. It has all the info in the posts on that page.

Journalists Yannick Lambert & Tom Rüdell have worked together & published an article a few days ago that featured in both Luxemburger Wort & the Luxembourg Times online, in Luxembourg. The Luxemburger Wort also has the article in their print version. It’s so good to have information in the press there now. Thanks guys. Let’s hope Belgium follows suit.
The article in full can be read here, you will need to use a translator :

Thanks to Andrew Humphrey for posting the above link
Any tips relating to Luxembourg can be sent to Tom: [email protected] . They continue to look into the case there and have some interesting leads already.
