Frederick de Hedervary (changed by deed poll shortly before marriage and citizenship application)
Chaim Frederick de Hedervary (had a NSW drivers license in this name)
Ferdinand Remakel (had a QLD license in this name)
Richard Westbury (returned to Aus in 1997 on a passport with this name around the time Marion returned)
Willy Coppenolle (mother’s maiden name, used at CBA in mid 2010s)
Ric Blum (apparently his current name)

he has used lots of others according to the NAA document but these are the main ones.

Pg 19 of NAA says he was Willy Wouters born in Belgium son of AW and MC. Arrived in Aus in 1969 and was married to IK. He was absent from Aus during 70-74 (we now know he was in jail in France among other things). Back in Aus, he changed his name via deed poll on 12 Feb 1976 to Frederick David de Hedervary. Seven days later on 20 Feb, he married DW. Three days after that (23 Feb 76), he applied for citizenship under new FDdH name.

Pg 21 of NAA says he departed Aus on 28 July 76 as he claimed his father was sick. However French police report says he was convicted for a year. Returned 17 March 77. Departed 22 March 77. Convicted in France again. Returned 14 Aug 78. Had a son in Aus in 79. Departed 6 Feb 80. Had a daughter in Luxembourg in 81. Returned 18 Nov 81. Departed Dec 81. Returned 2 Jan 82.

Apologies, in 77 he was convicted in Luxembourg not France. So that is at least four Luxembourg connections - whatever fraud he committed prior to arrest in 77, jail time in 77, birth of daughter 81, and whatever reference was made by GGB today. I didn't catch it. Anyone know what she said about Luxembourg?

Apologies, in 77 he was convicted in Luxembourg not France. So that is at least four Luxembourg connections - whatever fraud he committed prior to arrest in 77, jail time in 77, birth of daughter 81, and whatever reference was made by GGB today. I didn't catch it. Anyone know what she said about Luxembourg?

Said person told GGB he was from Luxembourg but she suspected he wasn’t being truthful and presumed he was from Belgium instead and based on the spelling and or sounding of his name, if I heard GGB correctly

Just listened back to the opening from Casseldon on day 1 and he said RB flew out and back in on the Richard Westbury passport, and that the name change was through deed poll.

However, I would have assumed that Marion knew him by M Fernand Nikolaus Remakel which was a name he used on his Driver’s licence and a surname she adopted. He only returned to Australia using Richard Lloyd Westbury so I wonder why he needed to use a British sounding name for that?
