Ok my initial impression is that Diane was also utterly deceived by her husband.

Or.... she's keeping super tight lipped on lawyer's instructions.

She is very evasive

Is this suspicious or sad? I cannot tell.

Casselden is going to lose it! (me too)

She literally just changed her story. She initially said all he told her was that he caught up with her once or twice. Now she is saying he told her they had a brief fling. Is she nervous or intentionally evasive? Mr. Casseldon is doing a great job.

I think she's just really nervous, and it can't be great talking about your husband's infidelity. I think she's embarrassed as well, like just imagine if you didn't know and found this out decades later.

I want to agree, but it's also too early to rule out her involvement. I hope she is innocent, but that would make her a victim. I don't know what's worse.

Oh absolutely, the jury's still out. I'm just going on first impressions.

Personally, I feel she has been excessively coached. Could be, that she knows nothing and she's a victim too, and that he still has control over her and told her what to say. But I feel there is more deceit in her tone and evasiveness. Oh! Just one car! Was she his driver then?

Now that she's said he's read the evidence will be more difficult for him to claim he's got dementia.

Yes, she keeps changing story!

I think we have to remember that she has a vested interest here, whether she knows anything or not. This inquest is kind of the lynchpin to how much her life and her family's life is going to be uprooted going forward, and I'm sure she doesn't want to be responsible for getting her children's father in deep waters.

Earlier today I read on here someone's view that they didn't believe we even know RB's real parents. Starting to think that's correct

Am I right that D would have been about 20 years younger than RB when they met....?

He's 82yo now so that would mean she is 62yo now. She looks much older than 62yo to me today.

Diane was born in 1951 and RB was born 1939-07-09 so he is about 12 years older. On the ship, she said she was 19/20yo so he was about 32yo. Now he is 82yo and she is 70yo.

Diane said she met RB on ship coming to Australia from Southampton. His Arrivals Card said he arrived in Perth on a "vessel". I argued that it was a ship but others here claimed it was a Qantas flight. He put "never married" on that card and his address was Gosbell Street, Paddington which is in Sydney. Was that her parents' address? They owned a cafe probably in Paddington where he worked. Maybe they lived above the cafe. Why did he disembark from the ship in Perth? Was that so he could meet up with Ilona and become an Australian resident?
