I have just been listening to episode 11 of the podcast again, and have picked up another "coincidence".

The podcast team are told in Luxembourg that the Remakel family (of the real F Remakel) all come from Itzig.

Today in the inquest DdH stated they lived in Itzig for 3 years.

Apparently Itzig has a population of under 2,000 today and probably even less in the 70s.

It would seem if that is true, they almost certainly knew of each other?

Good question, I don’t know. And was Monique the first wife of the REAL FR, I’m fairly sure the real FR remarried a second time to a Marie? Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don’t think MC was RBs first wife b/c she was referenced as a woman with whom he had an extramarital affair to his marriage with DW. If this is the same woman who was married to the real FR, then likely she met RB after she and FR divorced (or while she was still married)—I’m guessing in the 80s. This might also explain how he possibly got his hands on FRs documents—if RB was in the home of MC while she was still married to FR.

There seems to be lots of evidence that DH and FH were spending substantive time in AU during the years following their marriage. Years that DH described during the inquest as them living in Belgium, Lux, France. I just find it curious she makes no mention of AU. But they are on voter rolls (with change of address) & son is born in AU btwn 78-80.

Just to clarify for anyone reading and becoming a bit confused.

The episode referred to in the last few posts is not a new one.

In my opinion she's very evasive and comes across as dodgy. I think she's a good actor.

Hmm... you’re right. There must be more victims. So he got $30,000 from Ginette, $80,000-$120,000 from Marion (or maybe more?). The paintings and antiques could have earned him a lot more. He would have got a bit from pawning some of JO’s jewellery. We know there was at least one more woman who has since passed away. When you consider that he was only in each of their lives for a few months it’s not too bad... I have a feeling his web is much much bigger.

IMO there would have to be more women out there, his history is long. He is in and out of the country all the time there would have to be other women in Europe, UK that have had similar experiences.

In the podcast, MC says that her and the real FR divorced when she was 36, and she is 70 now. So that would mean they divorced in around 1988. We believe there is a family connection with MC and the real FR to Itzig.

In the inquest, DdH says that they were working in Itzig, Luxembourg for around 3 years in the early 80s - this is supported by the daughter being born in 1981 in Luxembourg.

I think it's absolutely plausible that RB had an affair with MC - perhaps during her marriage (although he easily could have returned to Luxembourg after), stole identity documents e.g. a birth certificate from their home and then used these to take out a QLD driver's licence, later placing the lonely hearts ad and scamming Marion. He might even have known about the football connection and used that as a line to gain her trust as another user suggested (e.g 'I knew your husband back in the day...)
