Anyone else think from the last round of questions (the figurines, artwork and what was in the garage) that one of the kids has been telling investigators the truth? The questions seemed incredibly pointed. And it seemed like they had info about the interior of the house back in the late 90s.

personally I think they are trying to work out if any of Marion's stuff ended up in their home - they have a list of what is missing from Sally - I don't think they will be getting the truth out of any of them.

If I was the daughter I would not let him be coaching my mother on what to say, I would remove her from the situation. period.

I am swinging back to my original thought in that DdeH had very little idea what the hell RB was doing with all his dealings. I do think she is scared she will be implicated but overall I do now believe she had very little idea of what old mate was up too in the bigger scheme of things.
And just the way Casselden intervened at cross examination showed that potentially DdeH signed the documents prior to them being filled out by RB.
Just my observation....

I suspected that they think that her signature could have been forged by him. I didn't get that she even knew about those forms but pretended she did.

Thinking again you could be right, I hope your right and the kids are been straight up with police. Both have their heads screwed on, are successful in their careers, but if that was the case it only make the wife more guilty of been complaisant to his crimes and willing to lie for him.

She has to have known. Where did she think the money was coming from to support her and her children. No one can be that naive. I feel she is just as guilty as RB in living off his cons.

OK maybe she came here on that ship with her parents at age 19yo but I doubt that Willy Wouters was on that ship.

I think what could have happened is that RB has asked her to say that he was on that ship as authorities don't know how he got back here after he left prison in 1974. IMO he has also asked her to say they were writing to each other while he was in prison for the three years. I predict he will not be found on the Passenger Manifest. Calling him Ric when his name was Willy Wouters does not make sense to me but it would before they were married in 1976 as he probably introduced himself to her as F De H. I wonder if they met when he worked a her parent's cafe?

I can’t see any D Walker or W Wouters on the passenger list. There’s a “G” Walker.

That's what I predicted. There is no way Willy Wouters could have been on that ship in 1970.

she lied about the seeing the bruising on him after been mugged in Amsterdam, we know it never happened he was in Aus not Amsterdam, no bruising according to JO's testimony ( because it never happened).

She doesn't remember the trip he took but remembers he was beaten up on the trip she cant remember him taking and remembers the bruising to his ribs. This was all to contradict JO's evidence, she straight out lied and knows she is lying, nothing to do with forgetting a year or details, the incident never happened.

Didn't she say that he told her he was in hospital for two days? For bruising?

I made no comment about the comment you quoted.
AS you can see from my comment above and below here for reference, I was referring to Estelles post about the yr 1970 regarding the travel ONLY;

I just want to say kudos to the NSW police. I know things were an utter shambles initially and so much has been lost but it's clear that they, and the lawyers, have genuinely done their research.

They've certainly pulled their finger out since the coroner kicked them up the backside at the end of the inquest last summer. They've done a good job.

You don’t need money upfront to go to rmit uni (hecs loan). Also back then the government would give students (whose parents earned below a certain income) income to study.

I suspect that he was on Youth Allowance/Austudy if his parents were both on the "pension". I'm sure he was supplemented by sums of cash that his family in Belgium "gave him".
