I used to assess disability claims for an insurance company. I feel like it used to be alot easier to claim Disability Support Pension with Centrelink in the 90’s than what it is now. These days, there are lots of hoops to jump through. But back then, it seemed like all you needed was a doctor signing you off as disabled. Is PTSD a disability?
Simply having PTSD does mean that you are considered disabled, but if the symptoms of PTSD are so severe that they affect your ability to function in society or in the workplace, then this would be considered a disability.
