This case is so off the wall insane that I'm half expecting Marion to just wander into the court at any moment.

this is so funny ! If it wasnt so sad! But I hear you!

This is off topic to the present moment in the trial but can someone just briefly summarise for me what Kim Burke's role is in the inquest? Because I thought she was there to represent the interests of the police but the questions she asked DdH yesterday didn't seem to align with what I thought that would entail. (e.g. asking about the boat)

I wonder if he ever did / is still receiving some sort of a pension in Belgium?

Ok so Marion walked up to him - a man on crutches - in a hotel lobby in Switzerland - and propositioned him? unlikely

Ooh a chalet in the mountains.

  • #26
I usually go to ski resorts when I’m on crutches.

How could he have skied if he was seriously disabled? "not moguls or freestyle" HAHAHA

Please I hope someone is taking a transcript of all of this :) I think I will need to read it all as my head hurts already!

I can see he is using his charm to try and make a connection with Casselden

Well he was declared an invalid. So he was on his pension during this!

Yes. Kim Burke represents NSW Police Commissioner, Garry Sheehan and Graham Childs.

She is there throughout the whole thing because the Coroner has the ability to make observations on how police made errors and make recommendations on how to improve process and handle cases in the future.

Not sure why she specifically asked those questions. But she needs to be across the entire case. Perhaps her interest was simply as a lawyer and to get clarity. Or she might even pass on notes of things to follow up on to Casselden.

Thank you! That's what I thought - it's just that her questions really threw me.

Joanie, have we heard this name before as a sleuth. Sounds familiar.

  • #34
Omg he has two more children.

  • #35
Could the 'two years in hospital' really be code for 'two years in jail'?

  • #36
BINGO!

Other children from previous marriage!
