Could RB have decided to defend himself from now on?
Possibly...... or perhaps they cant afford representation of full days at the inquest .... but Counsel for the Coroner definitely referred to the lawyers as "former representation".

Just a question??? Didn't they employ Criminal Lawyers???

IMO They would have been better off with Lawyers that specialize in inquests / usually a Barrister...
And then engage a criminal specialist lawyer if they need one.... but JMO

On the craniosynostosis thing - from Google it is very uncommon that the condition is not picked up or addressed in childhood... it would in fact be uncommon to perform surgery on an adult, if RB is telling the truth. How bloody convenient if so, and if it did affect D's memory. I did notice she had quite a bald spot on her head, perhaps from surgery?

I would have thought they'd have statute of limitations issues with any fraud charges.

Did DDH and RB at least both name the same town that they lived in, while in the UK???

I just cant remember the name DDH gave, except that it was close to Turnbridge Wells..... can anyone remember????

Its hard to believe looking at him today, that he was such a suave "Romeo" in his day......
Why did he stop at 3 extramarital affairs???? Remembering there are also 3 additional prior wives???? Usually leopards don't change their spots.... IMO

Wonder if any more women will come forward???

have there been any pics of him when he was young come forward?

When RB said that she was the "first one to survive"....... I nearly choked..... and I think so to did Counsel.... I though he meant she was the first one to survive "at his hands" ..... imo

I do wonder what the coroner will make of all this because to date there really hasn’t been a lot said about Marion!

Agree... I thought we were getting there today when they asked RB about his extramarital affairs ... but no...

I think they are trying to establish that his version of events may not be the truth by catching him out with so many inconsistencies / aka lies...imo

Oh, as did I. The irony, right?

What made him stay with DdH for all these years.
I think she was as bad as him and he appreciated it so he used her and she used him
I’m still catching up, but I’ve previously asked myself this question and it makes sense to me that she worked as someone to stay married to. My guy is that her personality was perfect. He could maintain a semblance of a ‘normal’ family life with someone who asked / questioned / demanded almost nothing of him - certainly in terms of seemingly letting him wander off around the globe with little explanation whenever he fancied.

yes but if they can’t get him, everything else is circumstantial so far and we are no closer to finding out what may have happened.

Did anyone actually see the police in the court room or just going by what Her Honour said re Byron Bay sitting tomorrow?
RB mentioned it a few times when disputing the date of his police statement - pointing to the other side of the room stating “the police are right there” in effect requesting Casselden ask them to confirm the date etc etc.

He says she "forgets things"
I think if I was married to him I’d forget things too, you have to or you’d go insane just trying to remember what his name is this week

I dare say he would have been told his case wasn’t meritorious.

C: are you aware… that there is evidence to suggest that in mid October 1997, MB was located safe and well?
RB: Well the police told me that when she came back she stayed in a motel in Brisbane for the week.

is this new info? About the motel?
