Wouldn't it be good if some of Marion's artwork or other belongings turned up.

I think now that the case is getting more coverage, it might be a good time to have a story and photos and descriptions of what went missing.

Years before Mr Blum was publicly linked to Barter’s disappearance, Ms Neubarth emailed the welfare, immigration and transport departments to report her suspicions about his multiple names and purported disability that he used to obtain a pension and parking permit.

This makes me so angry. Is this more examples of govt departments not taking action when they've been alerted that something's wrong

I think it could be him.
I suspect this guy is probably 6 foot under…

This was printed in 1988 - 35 years ago the guy in the pic is already old..

Aside from white hair and a big nose IMO it’s def not him.

As @mishy66 hes not stupid enough to put his mug on a magazine.

Richard west has done a lot of editing various subject matters for various magazines/books and various publishers below are some

Cambridge University Press
Constable & Robinson Ltd
Focus Network (part of the IPC Media Group
Chatto & Windus

I think it could be a 50 year old guy with bleached hair combed back. Big nose and glasses. A disguise ?

I think his build is much slighter smaller.. Blum is large (don’t mean weight) I mean his build.

He is quite large now, but maybe not so large then.
After all, he did walk 5km a day :D
Like MrsWattle said it could be a 50 year old man, with an older man disguise on.

RB seems to be someone who doesn't like being his real self and be happy with his own life.
Imagine feeling so envious of others that you have to pretend to be them to impress others.

And to put yourself in moments of history when you weren't there.

A bit like the boy who cried wolf, how many would now believe him if he told the truth.

I know it's part of a con, but I think he'd be like that anyway, even without the con part.

We probably need to establish if Blumhole stole the identity of a genuine coin dealer called Richard West from UK. ?

Here is another Richard West - a scientist who lived near Sussex and wrote 2 books

This person looks to be very similar to the image on the books cover - and the bookcase behind -
wouldnt it be a trip if AH has used this persons image for an edition of coin books he published under Renov Pubs

This feels more likely?

The coins may not have been fakes. I think they were most likely ones he'd stolen.
IMOO
Or he keeps the valuable stolen ones for himself and makes copies/ counterfeit to sell in fake names.

Remember when Blumhole got busted (and went to jail) with the "Olde Passy" die?
He either knows how to make them or has a contact. If he is a master forger then I suppose the stollen gold jewellery could have been melted down and pressed into coins. IMOO

Genuine disabled people ALWAYS seek a ramp the long term disabled Would never attempt taking a wheely walker up steps if there is a ramp to the side. Genuine disabled people have an extreme concern for and seek out accessibility in public places.
The steps at Byron courthouse where he walked up the steps carrying his wheely walker in front and not hanging onto any railing is proof enough he does not need his Hero brand walking frame.

Good on the neighbours for reporting him. Why isn't he arrested already?

Deffo an Amateur wheely 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I mean Willy Wonka

Neighbours said he had a disability pension and a parking permit. Yet both went on 5km walks every morning, no walking stick or anything.
According to DdeH he received a disability pension for PTS due she believed to his horse accident in the 1960s. She was vague as usual. I’d be surprised if most of his victims don’t have PTS after dealing with him.
