I have serious doubts that an SC would be doing this under a grant of legal aid. This isn't really how legal aid works in NSW. The barrister might've chosen to take on the case pro-bono though, I would love to know.

On the Nine Wentworth website it lists 'Inquests' as one of his areas of practice. That is likely why he's been selected. This inquest isn't a criminal proceeding so this does make sense to me. How he is affording him is another matter entirely lol.

When re-listening to the inquest and Ddh speaking, the way she sounded when answering questions about Marion, my gut tells me that she knows a lot more about what happened with Marion and her money than what she's letting on... She looks enough like her to do a few bank visits, talking to the tellers and making a story, so they would remember her as "Marion" and allowing her to take the cash out. Maybe RB had a fake licence made up with her pic to withdraw the cash. I could be totally wrong though. I just can't imagine how she thought they could afford everything they done on pensions alone and not question how they could live the way they did. There's so many things going through my mind about this, it's hard to write it out.
