In the meantime : Anyone watched Monique Olivier Doco?? Fastinating
'Michelle Martin', wife of Marc Dutroux will unfortunately be interesting to you too if you found M.O. interesting.
Can't and probably won't ever understand such situations/personalities.

I think it’s been mentioned before but I wonder what has happened to those ‘blackmail’ photos? For any victim there must be an awful nagging feeling not knowing what he has done with them.

I did wonder if he took photos of JO when in the hotel room when she was ‘bewitching’ him or at any point. Was she asked? She strikes me she wasn’t intimidated by him and saw him as a bit of a fool.

If he did photo JO then it was likely his MO in the late 1990s was to take incriminating photos as leverage and to coerce.

If he threatened to send photos of MB to family, friends, former work colleagues etc that would leave the her in a very vulnerable position and under his full control.
Just looking that digital cameras were becoming more widespread and affordable in the late 1990s, but I am guessing that RB didn't even have to print the photos (or have them printed from roll of film), the threat would have been enough. The recent UK court case involving Georgia Harrison demonstrated what can happen today when relationships sour...
All MOO

Regarding WC, the artist in Bali, I found two threads from last year asking the question of his relationship to AKA. But I couldn't find an answer. It just goes back to AKA using this as another alias, or is it really his birth name? Observe_dont_Absorb said: He looks quite similar to RB - are they related?

Yes! And with that case weren’t they on govt welfare as well. I recall something about a disability pension.

Unfortunately yes:
"Dutroux and Martin had succeeded in obtaining a disability certificate, as a result of which up to 400,000 euros in social benefits were paid incorrectly."

Forgive my ramblings, but MB's name change being the major difference to all the other cases we know about..

Did MB know RB as FNR, even if she was aware this was an alias, his passport was in the name RLW at this time?
Was it her idea to change from MB to FNMR (knowing that Luxembourg wives do not automatically take the husband's surname and she wanted that married name status)? Did she tell RB before either of them left Australia?
Or did he find out when they were together in UK, that's presuming they did meet up at some point?

Did RB want her to change to FNMR (eg to fit in with an MI5 story?) to enable access to MB's funds, foiled as MB did not name change her bank accounts? The name change would prevent MB's family being able to trace her easily, but officials at that time would have had access to her paper trail after her disappearance (if of course, it had been taken seriously) eg the dentist signing the name change passport application?

Lastly, did MB leave Australia again (after withdrawing the money) with a fake passport acquired for her by RB?

No answers obvs, but my feeling is MB inititated the name change, she then had to 'disappear' because, at the time, her name change could be traced back to the FNR driving license (unusual name) and therefore back to RB, not part of the plan. Having said that, there were no consequences for RB after ladies that were conned went to the authorities with their complaints...so I am doubting my argument!

I think he added the deH name at the end because he realised that his kids to Diane hold that name and had no idea that their father WASNT a deH.

Well, he is a dh  just not a deH !
He’s a narcissist of the highest order so would he choose his real family surname for his children to be known by?

If his real surname was David, Coppenolle or Wouters how have they ended up with and kept the family name of deH?

@Lord Peter Flimsy I have 2 theories that Ive been working through.

His real birth family are a wealthy well known and highly respected Belgium lineage who have connections to Tunbridge Wellls and Tasmania and the name is very regal

If he feels duped of his heritage due to being placed in orphanage as a result of a union to perhaps Maria and a religious person of that family say...... then he would take it upon himself to create a name that is also associated to another regal family without disclosing his true family identity.

Also, given he loves the play book of DCOD, the name deH plays very closely to one of DCOD relatives .....

IMO he is a piece of manure who wanted the notoriety he was robbed off so created his own

Was AKA's body language ever professionally analysed (or commented on previously?) when he was interviewed by the Police and asked specifically if he had done something to MB?

Even his speech patterns could be analysed. He's a one trick pony and he's a creature of habit and pattern, therefore his code would be simple to crack. What about appealing to those guys that do 'The Behaviour Panel' on youtube maybe?

The best outcome unfortunately isn’t going to happen finding Marion alive.

The second best outcome is finding the person responsible for her being missing and or her demise.

So IMO his history is vital. His lifelong patterns of scamming in particular regarding women are imperative justice us what is needed and without a body (god I hate saying that) then history and witnesses of his antics, are very much needed.

This is still about Marion.

And I believe eventually justice will be served. Let’s face it he’s broken enough laws to be deported already…

But that’s not what we want.

We want him and I’m sure all sleuths agree we want him ideally jailed for the rest of his life for the disappearance of Marion barter.

His assets frozen. His money frozen.

We want his song to his testicles squeezed so tight that balls end up in his throat.

Sorry but this dude does my head in.

Blah blah

Has M been officially declared dead by the authorities? Personally I think it's everyone's right to hold hope that she could be alive and missing if they wish to.

Has it been established where Marion officially changed her name and her new Passport issued?

Apologies if this has been asked or discussed before.

but has it been established where she lodged the name change and where the new passport was issued - location

Early on in the inquest it was stated she is presumed deceased. Agree that could be wrong.. but this long?
Not attending Sally’s wedding
Owens funeral
Her dads funeral
Never meeting her grandchildren?
I wish it was the opposite but IMO it’s highly unlikely she is living a happy life and has just chosen herself to not at all see her family.

Just another something a bit out of left field from me but fascinating in any case. I have been playing around with ChatGPT for professional reasons and suddenly thought to try it with something on the MB case. Well! I am not posting the response here because (a) I’m not sure what to make of it, especially after Googling a name it came up with and (b) I’m really not too sure of the WS policy on it as AI is obviously not a verified source. I used the query ”What Happened to Marion Barter?” As a simple starter if anyone else wants to check it out. my mind was blown though and I am trying to work out how to do a follow up Query.

At the last inquest when AC was talking did something pop up on screen showing the new passport application or was it the driving licence in the FNMR name? My screen was too small to read it. Not sure if any locations or dates were shown?

Not sure what answer you got, but my query just said she had been found alive and well, identified through dna testing and has been living a quiet life in the English countryside. Her family are relieved and hope to be reunited soon. mmmmmm okay.

EDITED - I asked again, this time I got a completely different response!

yes it was all presented at the inquest which can be viewed on You Tube - NSW coroners court.

Yes, I have since regenerated the query and got different answers so have now been doing some delving into the ChatGPT training…it seems that the training stopped in 2021, so it is not trained on data after that time. So I am now discounting anything it produces with that query (although it is fascinating how it came up with the responses it did!). What will prove interesting though is any queries relating to earlier times. I am currently formulating some for earlier parts of the timeline. I am more interested in how it might generate leads for a human investigator to research or evaluate.

Same. Three different responses.
