The newspaper article is refering to EK half brother.

IK had a brother yes. I mentioned this a long time ago on here and had not much response to it.

Yes, it’s not so much that there was a brother (only mentioned once on NAA documents). I have that document, it’s whether anyone has any more information on him or has managed to track down details.

Thanks @brjakj but I interpret this as referring to Evelyn Reid’s half brother? I am after Info on IK’s brother as per an NAA document.
Oh sorry I misinterpreted. In the Australian article: Conman dad ‘gave lessons on poisons’ 20 February 2023 it mentions an uncle. See attached. Sorry it’s a poor screenshot - best I can do on my phone.

I was looking back over the Furniture business with his mate Bintz

As the newspaper clipping had no Christian name, I am not sure this is him back in 1969 but it wouldn't surprise me if it is.

$100 000 Francs stolen in Differdange Lux. Arrested in Namur Belgium.

Is it 1977 or 1997?
It was clarified by SL that the date was incorrect in the newspaper.
It is 1977. They all died the same year, Ilona, her brother and their mother.

Interesting right....?

Thank you for confirming. That is too coincidental in my opinion, knowing now what we do.
Have their CODs been identified?

1977 was a BIG year for AKA when you look at the timeline of things

The same year he sets up and then resigns from the Furn business and is replaced by his dodgy mates, including Soupart...
money laundering operational company

Blum: We used the business account for everything. I like to point to you that Luxembourg at the time; I don't know now, but it was a tax free country, that's why we were there. And they've got, you know, a banking system that no other countries have.......

Do you have a source you can point me to for this @mishy66 ? Thanks. I am trying to track down his name and a death date would be useful.

Me either. I'm struggling to find anything and can't afford to sign up to Ancestry again at the moment :(

Ilona was 10 years old when she and her parents entered Belgium ( in 1957) as Hungarian refugees. No mention of a sibling there, so thinking he must have been born 1957+. Parents would have been around 20 when IK was born, so it's doubtful the brother will be older than her. I realise it is possible mum could have had a baby at around 17, but surely he would still have gone to Belgium with them.

That’s the issue. In fact, I can’t find any of them (IEK, JK, EB-N or brother unknown name) despite having place and DOBs, on Family Search (Free BMD worldwide search) and also have let Ancestry membership lapse.

@gymtonic and @hoodunnit I searched Ancestry and couldn't find anything other than records of Ilona's death. An aside: I'm happy to add her to find-a-grave if anyone shares her information with me. I remember her grave is unmarked but I can at least give her a "public burial."

This is available on Press Reader. I’m in the UK and can access it online using my local public library card. I don’t know whether all UK libraries subscribe.

I wonder if DdeH speaks any other language other than English? If she was in Luxembourg for around 3 years on and off how did that work?
