JMO I think it’s Marion herself that gives the clue the con was buying a UK school. The fact that she picked up a brochure from The Mead School a stone’s throw from where she was probably staying in Tunbridge Wells (The Pantiles) within days of arriving. A private school for nursery/prep children. Her mention of private schools more than once on letters/postcards home adds to this theory.

The only reason I call BS on the entire ‘school purchase line’ is that MB stated on her return passenger card - Married - Home Duties - Returning to Luxembourg. Why purchase a school when she can/did (?) marry a man of means and can retire at 51 livin’ the dream?

I’ve got in my head she was conned into returning and withdrawing to go towards a mansion in LUX or he buys the mansion and MB goes halves in the purchase of their holiday house on the French Riviera.

I sense MB was drawn to his MO we already know of with the others. It clearly works.

Marion mentioned herself in a postcard to a friend that you could purchase a school in the UK, so clearly some conversion had been had between them on the topic.

Of course, it was BS on RB's end .... but for Marion who knows, maybe that is what convinced her to part with the money .. she loved teaching, she loved children it would be the emotional button needed get her to give up the money

In saying that my money is still on RC. And not Maria C and Desire David snr
Seems the most logical. His ‘David’ brothers were cousins according to his own wife.

This guy is a master of deception and becoming other people. He seems to inherit a Ripley syndrome. I wouldn’t be 100% convinced he is the person on the birth certificate.

MR AKA had to have some way of getting hold of Marion's money. Just being a housewife wouldn't work.

So the idea of a school was planted. And maybe she could still be in Luxembourg and just jet off from time to time to make sure the school was going well. After all her new husband was very wealthy so travel costs would be no problem.

Bear in mind, no actual school would be bought.

Mr AKA would tell Marion about a great bargain school to buy and she would hand him the money for it, and he would take care of the rest.

So all he had to do was convince her that a school could be bought and that she could afford it,

I agree - it makes sense. It is what’s stated on her passenger card that does not fit the ‘buying a school’ narrative.

Yep - I know he could’ve fed her further BS as to why she should write that on her PC. Or it was pre-filled at an earlier time, pre-travel.

A life of luxury away from the pressures that she just walked away from seems far more appealing to a woman of 51, IMO.

AKA would love throwing the sleuths a red herring school purchase rabbit hole to burrow down.

He confirmed himself at the inquest , albiet switching the narrative as per usual

Your narrative fits beautifully. Thank you.

None of us are that stupid or gullible, pity for him.

This is quite interesting. The Mercure in Tunbridge Wells was built in 1991 but has an Oast House attached. The hotel is literally a few hundred yards from Tunbridge Wells Hospital (formerly Pembury Hospital) where his daughter had her hernia operation and the one place he admitted he knew in Tunbridge Wells. It wasn’t the Mercure back in 1997 but the Jarvis Pembury Hotel. Very close to the A21 and down to Hastings and Rye.

If the police and the TLV crew are sincere, they cannot leave any stone unturned. Very sad for SL. They must follow up the school lead - time wasting or not.

That’s the sheer tragedy of this case. His constant evil lies.

It's because "we're hip to his tricks"

Apologies to Joni Mitchell.

Apologies to Joni Mitchell.

The lyrics go that he doesn't like strong women because they're hip to his tricks.

But I don't believe that any of the women weren't strong.

It's taken us awhile to find out the extent of his doings.

While they really felt they had met the love of their life, and so they trusted him.

There is no shame in that.

At about 47'30" in the podcast ep 51 ER drops an incidental comment that confirms something I have been wondering / assuming for years. As well as all the Australian passports in his different identities, she says RB has a Belgian passport.

This information here says you need a new passport for a name change in Belgium:

Once the name change has been registered in the Belgian National Register, you will receive a confirmation by email and you will be required to apply for a new Belgian identity/travel documents. For this a payment is expected.

So maybe there is a very interesting file somewhere in the Belgian consulate in Australia.

This all means that any entry by RB into an EU country, and any travel between EU countries, will have been under the right of free movement and hence with minimal or no checking. This includes Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands and (at that time) UK.

Him having a Belgian passport was probably front and centre in the con, and a reason why Janet and Marion were persuaded that they could just up and move to Europe despite apparently having not applied for any visa to do so.
When Evelyn mentioned needing to get in touch with RB in the podcast, she said she rang the consulate & they said they’d get him to call her as “they were very familiar with him RB” (or words to that effect)… doesn’t surprise me!

OOps

More about how the identity could be used
Yes it seems Evelyn legally has the same initials as her mum, Ilona - IEJR formerly IEJW. I wonder if there is more to this or has RB somehow used this to his advantage? Given the FNR initials with regards to Marions name change. The mind boggles!

JMO......

I posted this after the post re him leaving her a tax debt ....i am thinking it may be related to a scam re Ilona and possibly Evelyn copped it as well because of the name and initials the same

TLV podcast at 16m30s - ER understood from reading a medical book that as per the coroner's report for IK, (paraphrasing)…. the heart attack occurred due to an overload of toxins in the blood stream. ??? Who was "the carpenter" with the very European surname and can anyone help with the spelling of his name, please?

are we thinking at all that ric + diane's children (unsure if i am able to comment their name??) might make comment since the pic was released? I am personally starting to feel a bit frustrated by 'all will be revealed' type comments made by the podcast and then really nothing new being said. I get it if there is no new info, but sometimes feel like we are being clickbaited in a way?

In the podcast she says that she rang him.

The Belgian Consolate gave her his phone number after they rang him and he agreed to it, and she rang him.
She said he was happy to hear from her.

It's a 47.16

Seems a very un-AKA thing to do, keeping the Belgian Consulate up to date with his contact details. His name changes too?

Presumably she inquired at the Consulate about Australian resident and Belgian national WW, not any of his other names. I do wonder if his Belgian passport has been in that name throughout.
