I am not medically trained, but there seems to be nothing in the coroner's report to indicate why IK may have had reduced blood flow to the heart ie myocardial ischaemia as the cause of death. Everything seems to have been ok except for the scoliosis. Are there any medics on here that could throw more light on this?

On a personal note, I will be departing at 6am tomorrow from Sydney for extensive travels in Europe until 12th September, so I will miss reading your posts at this most interesting stage of this case. Let's hope I have enough internet access while there to be kept informed.
Lucky duck!

I think Marion didn't get to the stage of realising she was being conned, after the fact, unlike the others when he disappeared on them :(

I think she caught him out and I believe that would have been a very dangerous time.
This just reminded me of a podcast I listened to of an American psychic that said she felt that MB had met with foul play & had bumped her head or possibly “pushed down stairs”. Not that I believe in psychics & when listening to it, I was thinking “what a crock of $h1t” but after reading your post Toots…???

So glad you have posted this Mishy. No hiding IKs untimely death now.
Great sleuthing @Lord Flimsy!! I actually lived in Dingley ‘73-‘76… who knows, I could very well of passed her in the street :-o

What poison causes heart damage?

Irregular heart rhythm and eventually heart-attack is what makes digoxin poisoning so dangerous. When digoxin enters the body, it binds a transport protein called the sodium-potassium pump situated on heart cells.

Can digoxin overdose cause death?

Digoxin Toxicity Can Be Fatal. outcomes, including death. In-hospital and 30-day mortality rates from digoxin toxicity remain high, despite declining use of digoxin overall.

Yes it was the photo of a passport in the trailer for the Spotlight episode.

Hopefully it will be explained in part 2 next Sunday.

In the meantime I keep checking for the first episode to go up on Youtube, nothing yet.

Someone said it was on YouTube. I’ll check back.

I thought they said it was 7 Plus.
I think you still need an account to view stuff there.

I looked up the requirements and you need to be located in Australia.

Just to explain.

I know that us Aussies can see the episode on 7 Plus. I watched it live.

But what I'm not sure of is if any members from outside Australia have been able to see it yet.

That's why I'm waiting for it to go on Youtube, so overseas members will be able to see it for sure.

Quick question, well actually 2
Was it ever confirmed/proven that AKA was in fact a Gendarme?
Can AKA sail or skipper a boat?

Was it ever confirmed/proven that AKA was in fact a Gendarme? NO actually that could have been one of his fantasies.

Can AKA sail or skipper a boat? He talked about getting some sort of boat to MC so maybe he can.

I wonder if he ever actually had a proper job, apart from the one being in charge of mailing out coins.

You know, the one where parcels went missing ;)

I might be wrong but did Joni confirm recently on FB that he was a Gendarme?

For me it’s that SL is sure it’s her Mum’s handwriting on the passenger card.

I just don’t know whether Marion did come back or not, and I don’t have any doubt that it’s Marion’s handwriting on the passenger card, but all that means is that Marion filled out that card.

Here are some things that occurred to me:

She may have filled the card out at some time previously when she might have thought she was on her way to Luxembourg to be married.

I think it would be quite in keeping for Mr AKA to persuade her that this was an admin task that she should do in advance.

I also can’t help feeling that it would be out of character for Marion to lie about where she had been and we do know that she had been travelling in the south of England and I can’t understand why this wasn’t mentioned on the passenger card if she filled it in herself in her way back to Australia.

I have also thought that the name change may have been designed to make it harder for Marion’s movements to be detected, and this was the case — if she’d been using the name Barter, her movements might have been known earlier but the name change made her movements difficult to identify until some years later.

I thought having a third party return to Australia posing as Florabella Remakel, might have been risky and unnecessary, but he could be sure that nobody would be looking for her.

As I say, I have no idea what actually happened.
