I thought it sounded odd that he wanted only to get insurance from her death, and not all she owned.

Re the bottle of wine. Maybe somehow he got hold of a document which showed he would cash out if she died.

Or maybe he thought he'd told her too much and if she drank from the bottle that would finish her off and shut her up.

I wonder if Evelyn and her brother Chris would want to do ancestry DNA test . It would answer the question if he is half brother or full biological brother.

From the dates it looks like Chris was MJR child and there is a resemblance IMO

But someone he knew must have gone to an orphanage/ home, otherwise why bring that up? Far too much detail in it. Maybe the brother Fredy? Closer to the alignment of Maria C marrying AW in 1950. Surely Aunt Emilienne wouldnt be taking in 3 kids, with her own family ? If that is the aunt...presuming so as AH went to the trouble of going to her funeral but not going to Marias...So he had some sort of alignment with the aunt.

Confirmation of something else we always knew finally! . So was he RC child or really Marias out of wedlock? The paper clipping found has Marias father and DDavid in fisticuffs around 1936 from memory, so she knew him back then going on that. AH could be Marias and DDavids son out of wedlock?
I'm still sticking with RC though.

Re RB's parents, the MBFP page confirmed Maria was a Coppenolle by birth, so in law, she would have kept that surname after marriage, and any children would take the father's surname. If the mother was unmarried (or the id of the father was not clear), the child would take the mother's surname. So I am still not clear who RB thinks was his father or who really may be his father..especially as the orphanage scenario has been confirmed as a lie.
All MOO of course as I have not found the Belgian law pertaining to surnames, but it seems the surname protocol still exists today. Partly explains again why MB might have wanted to change her surname to Remakel before leaving Australia, although the Florabella Natalia bit surely had to be related to the potential theft of all her money.

I do think he used the atrocities of WW2 to line his own sick lying path for sympathy but,
The Jewish Hungarian line still plays a part in his life. IK family. He speaks the language fluently. His reading of history which plays a huge part in his BS, could be why he chose the name deHedervary - it aligns to C.deH and the jewish war years, and his aliases of regal names.
But It also has a connection to the UK and another well known sportsman that he knew IMO
He is a perpetual liar, all his life is a lie. His kids to Diane carrying that lie everytime they write their name.
He has no regard for anyone but himself and it shows at every turn.

It's just a shame he is now in his 80s. But his kids will carry his shame for the rest of their lives.
