We need to know just how much was paid (net) to Marion and on what date(s). Where does this fit in exactly with the storyline? As it would appear the records are still held what was stated on Marion’s record to have it paid early should you have needed to meet certain criteria?

Interesting that he keeps changing the vowels and consonants around on the surnames

Wonder if this way of spelling, was used in Tasmania ?

OR did he get it from the many 1800's to early 1900's French newspaper write ups - they used variables of the deHedervary name in their writeups -
Khuen-Heverdary, Hungarian Minister - Count Heverdaru, Minister of Hungary -
Count Heverdary, Governor of Croatia ?

During this era there was also a Polish spy by the name of Heverdary - he forged a letter that he said was from the Catholic Arch Bishop of Warsaw. That forged letter secured Heverdary a job at the leading newspaper and the hand of the wealthy daughter of the newspapers EIC.
He sold information back to Poland in their quest to gain control over Russian borders.

He does love a good history read to give himself ideas, as we know.

Another idea re the tests is that he actually wanted to ensure the longevity of his victim and make sure they weren't likely to pass away in a hurry whilst he perpetrated his scam.

Perhaps he was particularly anxious about liver failure for personal reasons although according to my cursory research, acute liver failure is sudden onset with no prior warning and can be fatal within 48 hours.

Another idea is if the tests were privately conducted, he was simply coercing his victims into spending money on an associate who does this testing, building a relationship with that person making it look as it he were a man of influence and power who could send trade his way, maybe taking a cut of the fee charged. How much even is a liver test and where were they being done?

Could it be related to the Life Insurance "business"? Potential autopsies? Substances clearing from the body effectively? Peroxided hair disguising traces of toxins that had been ingested?

I think the liver testing is nothing more than checking for std’s and heps.

If and it’s a big IF wifey had absolutely no idea he was wooing all these woman coming home and passing on an std is pretty damn hard to make up a story and deny.

So I think it’s about shagging and not bringing anything home.

Perhaps a full clean bill of health was a request prior to intimacy?

Either way just the thought of intimacy with him makes me vomit.

@Candytuft I'm listening to Sally's new podcast and really enjoying it. No big news (yet) but a nice, streamlined revisit of the whole case from Sally's perspective. She is so good at telling the story in a straight line. If I am not misremembering, after the inquest when Sally finally got into Marion's super account with all of the proper docs in order, there was almost nothing there. She said that Marion must have withdrawn the money to buy a house, and Sally was surprised she was able to do that. And I believe the person helping her with the account was very surprised too. So the money, I believe, was withdrawn before RB was on the scene. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong here.

I was a teacher for a short time, and out of need, I emptied my super account. (called something else in the US.) By withdrawing early, I suffered big tax penalties and was warned off doing it. It's possible that was what Marion faced, as well. So I believe Sally can see that the houses Marion owned are connected to the super account.

Every time I thought how can Sally know that ? Unfortunately I believe it was an assumption in Sallys mind that over time became a" fact" with repetition.

I may have got this wrong but I think the situation was that until Marion had, sadly, been declared presumed dead by the Inquest that SL would not be able to access or inherit that account. To my mind, there was an assumption it would have Maron's funds that had built over the years of her employment. I suppose it was indeed an assumption that money hadn't been touched and that at least this was one thing not stolen from her.

I guess it now seems that Marion had been utilising the funds and that maybe this also is why RB had not stolen them as she had maybe told him everything about her finances and therefore he knew there wasn't much to steal in that case?

Indeed, in my experience I had to supply a death certificate to access my late husband's works pension. I was entitled to draw half of what he was getting. I am in the UK though.

I hope that there are facts / truths, forthcoming because so much of this case has been full of lies and untruths and the public who have supported and followed this case for years, including monetary support, deserve the truth.

The latest podcast The Missing Matter is excellent and so far I haven’t had to pay (I haven’t listened to all of it yet). It’s made by Marion’s daughter and the woman who has helped her sleuth the situation.

The original podcast (TLV) unfolds with the mystery as it goes, it’s very long, some parts are better than others, has dubious ethics at times, but comprehensive coverage of the inquest if you want that. The same team who made the podcast produced the book. as I understand it there are factual errors in the book - not deliberate untruths, but many small errors which in a case like this where small deviations in names and dates can make a huge difference; and where there’s a problem with hearsay over time, that’s far from ideal.

There are also loads of errors in the coroner’s findings. Well I think so? I was listening to the bonus episode of The Missing Matter while re-reading the findings and there were a LOT of important dates that did not match up (in a way that totally changed the story). Weird. I was inclined to believe Sally was correct because she seemed so sure and could provide receipts

The dates, situations and backstory was built of his views, which were deliberate untruths and that was what was published. That book was bought by hundreds of people who had supported SL for years and was lead to believe it would be all factual. It isnt.

Combined with the padded out media articles by some organisations, it went a long way to completely misguide the story which is already a quagmire of BS by him.

Now SL new podcast has the task of unraveling some of those mistruths and trying to gain the trust and understanding of many who bought the book and followed the podcast of TLV with trust that the truth would be told.

It will be interesting if this time around, the actual truth will be told in all its entirety , including exactly who he is, and that of his so called 'step brothers', that DdeH calls his "cousins".

I think probably the latter. She does often misspeak and mix metaphors.

Personally I can't imagine her mispronunciation of that name given its drilled into her brain for decades after striving for answers as to where her mum is.

If there is already a boo boo at the start of the podcast with name mispronounced then they are all off to a bad start!

The Public deserve ONLY facts. The public have given their time, their money and their support for years. They even helped fund an OS trip and pay for subscriptions!

Now is the time for complete honesty and transparency.

Been going on too long, people have moved on now, they just want a conclusion.
