I’ve lost track too although I try to keep up with Sally’s posts. I just feel so sad and angry for her that the time is slipping away.

Regarding these human remains found in the Richmond river, a few days later the authorities found a submerged car nearby - this car had links to a missing person. At this stage I think the authorities believe the remains are connected to this missing person.

Then, prompted by the discovery of the submerged car, a local woman reported her fisherman husband had seen what he believed was another submerged car on his sonar. When this car was retrieved on 1 March 2026 another body was found.

Locals say that sonar shows six other submerged cars in/around the Richmond river.

I have always worried that there might be a connection between Marion’s disappearance and AKA’s 2nd family car that seemed to disappear. But this seems unlikely given the measures taken to ensure there were no links between Marion and AKA. And of course, if Marion did not return to Australia then the missing car would be irrelevant.

I am interested in the possibility of Marion living in Shirley Street, Byron Bay - the Real Estate Agenet said he had read it in a newspaper that a teacher went missing in 1997. (the missing matters - April 20 - time stamp 25mins)

Trove doesn't have the newspapers uploaded for Byron Bay in 1997 (that I can find) any other thoughts ?

I think this is discussed on the missing matters podcast - that JO mentioned when she laid her complaint over missing jewelry the officer said someone else had a case pending with RB but had died before the case was taken to court - they said it like it was new information but I already knew that so it must have been mentioned before. But they still dont know who she was
