GUILTY Australia - Mathew Dunbar, 42, suspicious death, Walcha, NSW, 2 Aug 2017 *Arrest*

I feel like it's the like the horror movie, when you think the monster has been defeated, right at the end of the movie, it bursts through to do it's evil deeds.

That's the way I feel. I feel this might not be The End.

The jury consisted of 7 men and 4 women - I bet she thought that with 7 men she had a better than even chance.

Well she was out living her life freely , after twice ( that we know off ) trying to murder Colin, hopefully her luck has well & truly ran out

Yes but from the kind of person she seems I wouldn't be surprised if she goes the insanity route.

She would be desperate now to get out of there so I think she might demand that lawyers think of a way that she could possibly get out.

She would literally make anything up to save herself, and even bribery was not a line she wouldn't cross.

I want to but I just don't yet trust that this is the end. It's like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I’m surprised she didn’t throw Colin under the bus to get a lighter sentence.

Bribery is a line she has already crossed.

Me too & why he stuck around after her attempted murder on him x 2 really stumps me ( maybe she has something over him ??? )

To some people, she lived a nice life, but she was a greedy sow.

Maybe more stories will come out now that she's safely locked up where she belongs.

Like people who went to school with her and can't believe she would be capable of murder.
Come to think of it there really hasn't been anyone coming out and saying what a lovely person she was ?

Like the fathers of her children?
I wonder where they are?
Are they still alive?

That's on the Melissa Caddick thread Toots :D

Killer's callous police interview after death of partner revealed
Even though her home is a crime scene, crawling with police and forensic specialists, Natasha Beth Darcy giggles as she sits opposite two detectives.

Killer's callous police interview after death of partner revealed

@2:53 it says Darcy had spent time in and out of jail for crimes against men in this small town of Walcha...

Mr Dunbar had told friends Darcy had "chased him" down on a dating website in late 2014, a welcome change for a man who felt he'd always done the chasing.
Darcy told police they'd met after Mr Dunbar found her on the side of the road "walking in the rain".
But their romance was short-lived. Darcy was sent back to jail in May 2015 for stealing a former boyfriend's credit card and making up a false assault allegation against him in an attempt to get the charges dropped.

Colin Crossman should be made a saint - he not only supports the woman who tried to kill him, but looks after her children. One in a million. I'm afraid I just don't understand it.

I can’t help my twinge of suspicion.
He remained in Pandora with the children after the murder and the arrest.

Are any of those children his, if not, where are the childrens’ fathers?

I also was a bit suspicious reading the articles. Here are some possibilities I considered:

"He added that Darcy's estranged husband, Colin Crossman, was always hanging around, and that the pair would go away for weekends and he'd have to pay for it."
Murder trial hears of farmer's love blues

1) Darcy could have been cheating on Dunbar with her ex-husband Crossman. There could still be physical and emotional ties between them, not to mention any children that resulted from their marriage.

"A jury heard Mr Crossman remained married to Darcy and wanted to get a divorce, but he had been bankrupt for three years after his home burnt..."

2) Technically, if Crossman remained legally married to Darcy, he could have stood to benefit had she been the sole beneficiary of Dunbar's estate prior to initiating divorce proceedings.

3) If he was known to be willing to defend her when she tried to actually kill him, then his witness testimony in this trial (and the things he said about Dunbar) could have been him trying to defend her. She could have alluded to him the possibility of another future together, which may create another motivation.

4) If he was bankrupt, he's been able to stay in a home rent free throughout the course of the trial. Not to mention, while alive Dunbar may have also been generous with him.

Of course, I don't know Crossman at all, and he could've totally been altruistic in all of his actions. But it stinks and I'm a skeptic...

"It's a stranger than fiction scenario for Senior Constable Goodwin; he was one of the officers who charged Darcy back in 2009 for the attempted murder of her husband Mr Crossman, who owns the house they are now sitting in."

Mathew was murdered 2 Aug 2017 which is still in winter, I notice all the windows are opened in the house while the cops are there. Why would that be?

OMG! :(

Mathew's friends and family knew she was up to no good so local police had set up a crime force in an attempt to find out if/how she was thinking of killing Mathew BEFORE she eventually did.
