Melbourne's north: A 23 year old new mother, on her way home from a celebration of her child's birth, was stalked, attacked, raped and beaten so viciously she needs plastic surgery for the wounds to her face.

In the wake of the eerily similar Jill Meagher case, it seems police are all-out to catch this guy.. They have no doubt it could have ended the same way for this poor young woman, had locals not interrupted him..
Gotta wonder if the guy arrested and released is a local repeat offender.. ?
