406/1 not 405/1.
Oh I must have made an error. Thanks for telling me.
Maybe he was disconnecting/connecting something? He doesn't appear to be wearing protective boots like most tradesmen wear. He seems to be wearing low cut sneakers/running shoes which look like they are ASICS or Slazenger (similar design at times)
His socks pulled up suggest he may be covering a tattoo. If his van and equipment looked cheap and run down I could assume he can't afford trade boots and so is wearing his running shoes, but that isn't the case.
Plus, why would a broke/struggling tradie be attending Dover Heights jobs?
Maybe he feels more comfortable in sneakers. Legitimate reason to not wear steelcaps etc
There really was never going to be an ending that had even the smallest amount of justice, or happiness on the horizon, K.I am thinking that this may be the end of the story, barring the financial windup. Not very satisfactory, but this is real life, after all.
Yes, well the ASIC Chairman was found to have committed over $120,000 worth of tax fraud and merely "stood down" voluntarily while enquiries were made, this was Oct 2020, just weeks before the raid on MC.Melissa Caddick’s $8m windfall after tip-off ignored by ASIC (smh.com.au)
A sombre story of how the authorities formed and paid to regulate this stuff took their own sweet time to investigate Melissa, and let the whole ridiculous scam slide on through for another round of lifting big sums of money of folks who thought they were dealing with the genuine thing.
Interestingly, Melissa was putting feelers out for loans right left and centre , obviously from the kind of places one wouldn't entertain in one's woodshed, lenders of the last resort, lenders as dodgy as Melissa, if the truth be told. There is a sort of karmic aura in those efforts.
It's not as if ASIC wasn't given a solid heads up about Melissa. Whether there is any penalty to be paid for the ASIC sloth in reacting to the plain as day negative reports remains to be seen. I suspect ASIC will get a tap on the wrist, nothing more.
In my experience lots of women suicide with water and throwing themselves in without thinking what if ? We have the famous white cliffs of Dover, a very popular spot to jump from. But I understand what you are saying in terms of how meticulous Melissa was .I wondered about a dog walker, but dogs are great social instigators...I am sure they were props for 'event's.. '.. like running into elderly people with time and money etc...
It is difficult for me to believe that she didn't check out her location, the exact location of where she was intending to end her life. She was meticulous and highly detailed in her scope of scam, and fraud, leaving hardly anything to chance, .sure, a few errors, but they mostly passed muster, for a very long time.
There surely would be camera footage of the runs she went on previously. Where she went, where she stopped and checked out stuff. I just can't believe she would hurl herself off an unknown and uninvestigated piece of cliff, not knowing if it was shelved, or the depth, or the rocks. So disfiguring, and not in the strata of how women suicide, according to stats..
Sadly I think you’re rightI doubt she felt any shame or guilt.
If she did kill herself as it looks like she did, I think it was because the thought of spending however long in prison and losing forever the lifestyle that she scammed other people into paying for was something she just couldn't accept.
I think she thought she deserved that lifestyle.
She became accustomed to that life and I think anything less would be unacceptable to her.
And there was no way she could ever pull that scam again. Not after all that publicity and her face plastered everywhere.
May I respectfully ask the relevance of this?Hey everyone, I have no idea where things are at with this case as I've been working on my new business and only checked in once a week or so ago, so forgive me if the following is irrelevant.
I think it was Esther that commented on the idea of a car sitting abandoned in a driveway somewhere, months back.
Well, I've known about this car for a while and the timing of its appearance at a local clubs carpark matches up. The club is situated within 100m of the Sydney exit and Wollongong exit. It is the Hellenic club, Figtree.
Here are some pics, I took them at night so the quality is poor but I'm sure you're familiar with image editing so just brighten them if you can't discern the details. I'm slightly anxious to post this information in case I'm on to something!
Reasons why my identity is safe would be appreciated! Justice and Truth are strongly persuasive motivations that compel me to act boldly and it's not easy to change that.![]()
May I respectfully ask the relevance of this?
Refresh my memory: why would a car sitting somewhere, seemingly abandoned, be important to this case?
We were trying to figure out how she left the house.I'd like to know too.
