I was thinking more along the lines that Melissa had her enemies. A local hitman may have killed and dismembered her in the same way. Limbs in a bag floating out to sea from the local river. The 2012 was done at a low tide and not a good job by all accounts as the body bag was seen floating twice . Also who would tie a red bow on the bag, very odd. Anyway back to Melissa and her foot. I hope it can be established as to how this was severed from the rest of her body as may give some clues. Either she intentionally went into the sea or something more foul afoot.
She I believe she did have enemies, I also believe she had an exit plan to leave. I'd be curious to know the condition of the bone found on the beach and identifies as MC's, how it was removed. Regarding the other case (2012 body parts in a bag), just another drug mule situation gone wrong, cocaine removed from the cavity and drugs in his system, the red bow maybe a calling card and mean something. IMO.

This article shows the foot but blurred out. An investigating NSW Police Commissioner raised the possibility that Ms Caddick could have severed her own foot to throw police off the scent - and that she could still be alive.
Limited decomposition of the shoe would indicate it had not been out in the ocean for the entire three-month period since she went missing
Top cop admits Melissa Caddick may have cut her own foot not jumped form Sydney mansion | Daily Mail Online
In light of Melissa's foot and the limited decomposition has anyone got any ideas as to where the foot may have been kept.
My thoughts are that maybe the foot may have been severed sometime after she went missing. It will be interesting what comes out in any coroners inquest. There is also the possibility that her foot was stored in a freezer or in cling film plastic (Maybe I have been watching too much Dexter series) Durability of cling film plastic wrap usage on dead body towards human decomposition changes - ScienceDirect

Aside from my wanting all the investors to get as much money back as possible and for AK, OC and the dog to have to move out of the house, I am also curious about what will happen with the parents as I can't see how they will be able to remain there unless they have some hidden cash somewhere or their son finances them. It's all taking much longer that I ever predicted.

But I am even more curious about how MC's life was ended. I just cannot believe that her foot was purposely amputated with her permission and it ended up where it did miles away making us believe she either committed suicide or is still alive. I am predicting that the Coroner's Report will be inconclusive. I wonder if they ever really pursued the possibility of murder? It does not seem as if there was any evidence for the to pursue. Will it ever be solved?

If the parents had not embarked upon a program of trying to be both a non participant in Melissa's shenanigans as well as 'giving her money to mind for them'' at the same time, all this stuff could have been resolved. Antony , dogs, parakeets, all out of Dover Heights, property sold, fund distributed among claimants. The Edgecliff unit, sold, parents , upon proving their claim they kicked in $1 mill , refunded the mill, the rest to the claimants, company folded and invalidated, everyone goes home, no one happy, but that's how these cases always turn out. No one goes home happy.

But.. it hasn't turned out that way. The worst outcome for everyone is that damned foot rocking up on the sea shore, at the loneliness of Tathra... a lone foot among the hundreds of cranky claimants and the righteous , yet strangely muted and lethargic anger of the ATO and ASIC gives this crime a very heady mix of real criminal skullduggery and rather pathetic incompetence in so many areas as to screw the perspectives of anyone taking a close look at it .

Melissa was slightly unusual , in my view, if she killed herself. There are so many of her fellow scammers, men, and women, many, if fact, the majority of whom managed to extract many more millions from equally deserving victims, yet went on to serve a piddling amount of prison time, and out again in the fresh air, probably scamming still to this day, scamming being a matter of mind set, and not opportunity, generally.

As an aside.. The general price rise of those properties are currently running at about a $3000.00 increase PER WEEK, something Melissa would be so thrilled about, if she was around, ey?.. and that's a good thing for the claimants, unless they are living on borrowed money, then they are falling behind , bigtime.

Once associated with affluence, Sydney's eastern suburbs, North Shore and Northern Beaches are at greatest risk of mortgage defaults.
Modelling by Digital Finance Analytics (DFA) exclusively for 9News shows one in 11 mortgage holders in Dover Heights is at risk of defaulting.

A total of $17.22 billion in mortgages were refinanced in July, according to the ABS Lending Indicators, an increase of $978 million or 6 per cent from the previous month, in seasonally-adjusted terms.

I would imagine she got regular pedicures. I wonder when her last pedicure was? Have the toe nails been viewed by her nail artist? Does the nail have a new colour? Was the colour or pedicure grown out?

I read that AK is a hairdresser as well as a DJ so she may well have had any pedicures at a beauty salon he was involved with if the business did both hair and beauty treatments.

What happened to the property Melissa owned in Aspen, Colorado. Could she have gone there with a fake ID and arranged for her amputated foot to be posted back to someone in Australia. Here is the article where AK mentions her owning the American property. Missing Melissa’s hairdresser husband tells court he has $1.95 in his bank account

Lots of speculation about this fantasy apartment. The brother was convinced in the early part of this crime that he would , upon Melissa's death , inherit it. It had been arranged, I think as part of a dicey exchange of money with the brother.. but there is equally as much evidence that the place in Aspen .. ( North of Nell Apartments) was rented by Melissa, at $54,000.00 a month... hence, nothing to the brother.

Here is the money matters the Receivers adjudicated upon, it's a long read, lots of numbers but like a thriller novel, it's worth the read.

I agree with your comments Mr Murphy. The art work is a massive clue.
Missing art work from Caddick's mansion include:-
Adrian Lockhart - Diver
Adrian Lockhart - Washing Off The Sand'
David Gerstein's sculpture Exotic Birds
(Does anyone know of the others)

We all need to keep an eye on auctions sites, ebay, international forums as they could be anywhere by now.
This makes Melissa's disappearance even more suspicious.

I will be interested to hear once there is a coroners inquest just how long exactly Melissa's foot was in the water. I think the condition of the foot and any fibres or traces of aquatics will be very telling. It is essential that the forensic pathologist appreciates the uniqueness of this immersed remain. This is an interesting online article concerning decomposition. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6474513
