Found Deceased Australia - Melissa Caddick Missing After Australian SIC Raid - Sydney (NSW) - Nov 2020 #9

I'm surprised they got quite a large payout in comparison to the other victims.

In a sense, they held the whip hand over the Receivers inasmuch as they were in possession of the asset and were not inclined to move out unless their demands were met, which led to a protracted negotiation process.

As it appears they were lenders, ordinarily one would expect for them to have placed a caveat on the property and/or to have their names added to the title as joint owners, however, as with all things involving Melissa Caddick, 'Leave everything to me' financial sleight of hand was at work.

Anthony Koletti charged after alleged incident at Vaucluse - not far from where Melissa Caddick disappeared

Anthony Koletti has been charged by NSW Police with one count of common assault over the alleged incident against a 73-year-old woman at Vaucluse last week.

IIRC, he was complaining about being in the news.

He (allegedly) shoulder-barged a woman.

Maybe pushed his way past, using his shoulder?

Police allege Koletti, 43, shoulder barged into a woman on the footpath at Lighthouse Park, Vaucluse in Sydney's east about 5pm last Wednesday, not far from where the notorious conwoman vanished without a trace.

'He didn't help her up and kept walking,' a source with knowledge of the investigation alleged to the Daily Mail.

Koletti then allegedly doubled back a few minutes later, with the woman and her partner snapping a grainy photo of Koletti, dressed in a black Under Armour shirt, cap and sunglasses.

She then approached local police two days later and shared the image with officers

I wonder what other evidence police have. That photograph doesn't seem to be enough. Two doubts: maybe it isn't Anthony in the picture, and maybe the picture isn't of the same person who barged the woman.

I would also expect police to check with the victim and her partner before charging him.

Also, if it wasn't him, I would expect him to say so. He was never short of a word in the past when it suited him.

Maybe he'll write a song about it. 😊

It seems that Koletti must have owned up that it was him…..and went to the Police station himself….

“A 73-year woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by a man about 5pm ... in Lighthouse Reserve at Vaucluse." NSW Police said in a statement.

Police also made an appeal to the public earlier this week requesting information to identify an unknown man in a black Under Armour t-shirt, black cap and sunglasses.

Images published in the appeal shows the man walking through a park in Sydney's east.

Koletti attended Waverley Police Station on Wednesday, where officers laid charges over the incident. He is due to face court on September 5, 2025, to learn his fate.

Yeah, but the victim and partner think they've photographed the man who knocked her down. But they haven't photographed him immediately, but when they saw him again a few minutes later. It sounds like they lost sight of him in between? How good a look did they get of the offender, the first time? Say the guy who knocked them didn't double back, but kept right on and made good his escape . . . but along came Anthony, just out for a walk and also wearing black, and the couple mistakenly decided that he was the offender and snapped him.

However, the source's emphasis on "didn't help her up" makes the event sound more like an accident than an assault.

I'm glad to hear he's working, anyway.

I guess that if he felt that he had to shoulder-barge his way through there may be other witnesses also.

imo

It strikes me as being the opposite: if it were an accident one would expect him to have apologized and rendered help.

As for identification, the media report suggests that he handed himself in to police:

Koletti attended Waverley Police Station on Wednesday, where officers laid charges over the incident. He is due to face court on September 5, 2025, to learn his fate.

I do see that, but if for example it had been a flying leap at the victim while he snarled, "Get out of my way!", an observer wouldn't comment, "and then he didn't even help her up!"

Maybe, but we are relying on a paucity of evidence at this point. Let's see what emerges in court.

Anthony Koletti, partner of alleged conwoman, to fight assault charge

“The partner of notorious conwoman Melissa Caddick will represent himself in court after being charged with assault.

The partner of fraudster Melissa Caddick has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a stranger while walking through an eastern Sydney reserve.

Representing himself at the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday morning, Anthony Koletti, 43, has signalled he will fight a charge of common assault after an incident in Vaucluse on July 23.

The part-time DJ and hairdresser was stony-faced leaving court, refusing to comment on the nature of the charge or his not guilty plea.

After requesting his next court date be set for a Monday, Mr Koletti will appear before court on October 20 after police have prepared a brief of evidence.”

That ought to be a riot.

He's probably suffering from PTSD.
