The increased adrenaline may have been from an injection to stop the blood flow after the attack...

Adrenaline would actually INCREASE the bleeding unless injected immediately around the wound. When administered systemically, it increase blood pressure and heart rate - which, if you have several leaks in the system, would cause increased bleeding via those leaks.

But just the act of being stabbed, and especially if he was well aware of what was happening and a surge of panic occurred, would cause a significant release of adrenalin. That can happen in seconds.

During surgery, if the blood pressure starts to fall, drugs such as adrenalin and related drugs (several different types) are given IV to raise the BP, and if the surgeon (eg moi) has some bleeding going on at the time, that tends to increase as the BP comes up.

I think what you're thinking of is when adrenaline is injected in the immediate vicinity of a wound (that's why local anaesthetic is often mixed with adrenaline for minor surgery) in order to constrict the vessels and stop the bleeding locally.

Can anyone help clear this up? No doubt thanks to over-eager news writers once more caring less for actual FACTS than being quick to report..

In some reports Morgan's housemate is said to have been on a girl's night out, and discovered him in his room after hearing an odd sound not long after getting home.

In other reports, she was "woken up" by a sound...

I just wanted to be clear about it, but I'm seeing both stories reported. :\

After reading and sorting through all the discrepancies in the Gary Tweddle case via the media and Police (yes, they made some clangers too), I found that there seemed to be two main writers for the papers - Emma Partridge and Megan Levy - and many of the reports in lesser publications were attributes to these two journalists.

For this case it seems to be Clementine Cuneo & Emma Partridge.

The Daily Telegraph seems to have the most Main Stream Media articles on this case - but basically there are only 2 people writing the Case.


When I sorted through the msm on the Tweddle case - I found it easier to rely on the latest most up to date article which corrected discrepancies from previous reports. It took 3 weeks before any news story really broke, and that came from Emma Partridge (Silks/Drugs/new timelines/interviews with people concerned) -
For Morgan Huxley's case though Clementine Cuneo (Daily Telegraph) seems to be giving most news in this case.

Talk about having to read between the lines.
Lets hope there is some more news tomorrow - Sunday.

I think the discrepancy of whether JR found him "soon after arriving home" vs "being awoken" can be explained easily if we consider she got home and more or less went straight to bed. And heard noises at that time when trying to sleep, which would still be shortly after arriving home. It plausibly fits both stories quite well.

"Security footage captures the 31-year-old walking into the Military Hotel at 1.01am dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, with his sunglasses on his head. He appeared to be barefoot."

I wonder if the clothes he was wearing to the engagement party were different to this description? I find it unusual for a man to walk in the city barefoot.

The engagement party was a day time affair, and not in "the city" as such. Lane Cove is another leafy lower North Shore suburb about 3 or 4 km west of Neutral Bay. Depending on the level of familiarity with the host of the party, it's very likely that he's partied in Lane Cove through the afternoon, dressed for the weather. ie, shorts, tshirt, barefoot. There is a picture kicking around of him at a BBQ at his own place dressed exactly the same - shorts, tshirt, barefoot... at night. So that might set the scene for their regular attire when playing outside public places.

Transport from the party was with friends, so perhaps to the party too, hence no real need for shoes.

The fact he went to the pub with his sunnies still on his head kills part of my earlier theory about when exactly the BC happened. I'm leaning more now towards him perhaps getting home alone and being bored, possibly a bit inebriated and not wanting to stop partying just yet, go to the pub and see if there's anyone there - nope. Well, what to do now then..?

Agreed ... was thinking that could be the reason they were searching those car parks across the street from The Oaks on Military Road ... possible vantage points. Interesting that the car parks can view the side entrance that Morgan left The Oaks from.

I'm leaning away from this way of thinking since to me that suggests it was more pre-meditated, and I still suspect that it was BC gone wrong (although I'm not ruling the stalking idea out just yet). If parking is tight around his place - and I believe it is - she's probably driven there and parked at one of the carparks in question (Barry St or May Lane) in order to visit him for the BC. And when everything has turned bad, her first priority is to get rid of the evidence and stay away from bright lights, people, and being seen near his place, so she heads down the hill by foot to the park near Clark St shops. From there, I'd say she's gone to Murdoch St (one of the backstreets LE searched heavily) to clean up a bit more, and then from there gone to retrieve her car from the carpark at May St, while trying to avoid crossing path with LE who no doubt she'd be aware would be in the Watson St area by then, hence the back-street sneak back to the carpark from an easterly direction instead. This will quite neatly explain the big circular route through Neutral Bay and Cremore the Police searched for evidence and CCTV footage.

Just my thoughts, call it "michael's theory version 8.0". ;-)

Theory v 8.0 is good, too. Fits the facts as we know and have discovered.

I guess if the killer was stalking Morgan, she could have seen him leave The Oaks and quickly cruised by him/his place saying she was in the area and thought she'd see if he was 'lonely' - ".... be right back, I'll just park my car". That way she could have avoided a stalking-type text/call.

And maybe cruising by his place is right on her way home anyway, so may not seem that suspicious.

I wonder if the killer tried to initiate a booty call, and Morgan rejected her that night - maybe saying he was going to bed after the engagement party. If she had gone to his place and seen he was at the pub, this could have set her off.

His phone would be a ripe piece of evidence for the detectives to scour. Imagine the spiderweb of phone numbers, texts, phone logs, etc. Their heads must be spinning!

Good thinking re the sunnies. I'd been toying with the idea that he'd worn that grey suit that was taken away by the police (I was picturing a pale grey lounge suit) and thought maybe he changed into casual clothes before heading to the pub. But sunnies on head changes that
