I think a lot of people know guys like Morgan, i.e. men who spent most of their 20s in long term relationships who are in no rush to enter another serious relationship, particularly if they are enjoying their single life. Times have changed and the early 30's are no longer seen as "time to settle down" particularly for young men. Even if he was seeing a few different women at once, its quite possible that he was always upfront about not wanting anything serious with his partner(s)

Maybe someone changed her mind about being "fine with it," particularly if she had had feelings for him for a long time...

The media was describing morgan as a casanova and if you look up the definition of a casanova its definately not someone who is dating a woman longterm or interested in any relationship other than sex i guesd thats why he had romantic links to 14 women leading up to his death as a young man who left a serious longterm gf who spent most of their 20's together i hardly see how a young man starting up a business finishing a longterm relationship would be interested in rushing or jumping back into a longterm relationship with any woman in the near future
I also came across another site where a couple of people both posted that he had been or just started seeing 2 women they knew if either of these werent RP then that would be 3 woman he was at least involved with
I dont find anything appealing about morgans profile projected in the media that would make me in the slightest bit interested in him romantically hes definately not my type I guess who ever did this no longer found it appealing to her
my view is that morgan was having what he thinks was fun sleeping with whom ever was stupid enough to fall for his charm to be used for sex while concentrating on developing his business

now wait a minute, this is the 21st century. There are plenty of girls who believe in having fun sex too and they aren't being used, its a mutual friends with behefits. Nothing wrong with enjoying sex for women. I don't think it makes them sleazy or trouble psychologically, why is it that some think guys are using the girls ..as if the girls can't be enjoying themselves just as much. We are long past the save yourself for marriage society, not that it is a bad thing, just a personal choice. As is enjoying yourself sexually when you are free and single and young enough to explore.

imo

I couldn't agree more! Just a thought...could the killer be not a scorned lover, but simply a scorned admirer??

Men don't sleep in their t shirts and nothing else! Do they? No one does that! :waitasec:

I must be missing something....:dunno:

The tshirt and no pants thing means to me, he was either getting undressed when attacked, or, having sex, either oral or impromptu.

:twocents:

My first post !
Been reading for awhile.

And...I wear a tee shirt to bed........:seeya:

Lovely WS'ers... some of the generalised comments regarding women and morality here lately are getting right up my nose. I will likely become vociferous/start hitting the ignore button if there's any more 'women are such 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 these days' flavoured comments. Just so you know. It'd be a shame to have to miss all of your on-topic comments over it.

Aaaand it seems we're in a proper news lull.. just like the Novy Chardon case *sigh* and others. Still hoping for an arrest, soon.

That there hasn't been one suggests to me that either the DNA evidence isn't back yet, OR they can't match it to anyone yet, OR the killer was canny enough to make sure they didn't leave any.. which is a real can of worms to think about, lol.

You know IHNC... she just had to invite me over here...

Anyway- I am with you . I am a happily married (25 years) woman, who is thrilled that "friends with benefits" has empowered single women to express their sexuality without repercussions :)

For a girl who just wants a guy for a bit of fun though I can see that he would be a good candidate .. I mean what does it matter if a guy you're just sleeping with owns his own home, or drives whatever car. All that matters is he's lighthearted and you 'get along' with him well IYKWIM.

Before I was with my partner I had all kinds of lovers from all different walks of life, and I certainly didn't consider myself as having low standards, or loose morals or any such thing.

Yeah, I guess you're right, its simply obvious not everyone has your "high standards" other than that, I really don't mean to offend but I'm not sure of your point? Also, I don't recall anyone else pointing out the dress size or attractiveness or otherwise of Morgan's ex-partners/current partners, as that is a matter of subjectivity, is it not?

I 100% agree with the comments about men AND women being free to engage in sexual relations with whoever and how many people they want. Freedom to make these choices is what life is all about. As long as everyone is up front and honest about their intentions, and no one is intentionally misled or hurt.

What I think is relevant to this case is that IF the person who killed Morgan was one of his sexual partners, I don't think their relationship (casual or not) even compares to the empowering (and fun!) decision to hook up with someone else that most normal people would make.

I think if the killer was his lover, Morgan may not have realised just what he was involved with. For the killer, intimacy could have been about control, manipulation, attachment, desperation...who knows. All I know is that if the killer was one of his partners, she more than likely wouldn't have approached any relationship with any sort of normalcy. IMO.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday - fantastic weather here in Brissy (so wish we had daylight saving). :sunshine: :sunshine:

Did you know Morgan Huxley?

I think all you ladies talk about other ladies in terms of dress sizes just as a kind of secret code, so that we mere males have no idea what you're talking about. Size 10, 16, 27.5 - means absolutely nothing to me or to many of the other males, I'd be thinking...

It's a bit like that other code, when asked how old a child is, the response is "Grade 5" or similar. Mere males then have to add 4 or 5 to the number to work out the answer to the question.

But on a more serious note, I really don't think we should be passing judgement on people's size, looks, dress sense, or sexual activities. Unless it is directly relevant to the case. After all, we're all different.

Where it MAY impact on this case, though, is if the lifestyle of the victim - MH - clashed with the morals or values of somebody else - say, a boyfriend or husband. Or one of the ladies. After all - we ARE all different... Oh, I just said that ;)

Respectfully snipped by me...

or maybe its sorting regular day to day DNA from the incident DNA.
The lack of news on this is very frustrating.
Maybe its those Tall Ships and One Direction's fault. ;)

Absolutely. As the mother of 4 sons, the oldest being 25, I am terrified of the emotionally needy, oddly desperate ones..

I think that if there's one good thing that came from the whole horrible Jodi Arias trial, it's that people are more aware of women being quite as capable of truly heinous acts as men are.

I've known a few staunch Aussie lads over the years who've had trouble with obsessive, stalkerish females. It's embarrassing for them, so it's harder for them to admit being scared or unnerved, and this potentially puts them in danger one way or another.

Though usually it's a fake rape charge, or vicious and damaging rumours, or they get their male friends to beat a guy up, rather than stabbing them 30 times.. It's the same scary mentality, however.
