I do have another THEORY….. (based on the news footage only)

Could the perpetrator live at 58 Maryvale Street??? (Or have made it look like they lived there???)

Earlier in the thread I posted a very early Police Photo that had a bin from 58 outside Ms Trotter‘s Unit Complex…..in the lane … see this post..

Deceased/Not Found - AUSTRALIA - Ms Lesley Trotter, 78, Homicide, Brisbane, 28 Mar 2023

Since that time I have noticed the following ….

We believe her death occurred close to her unit block in Maryvale St, Toowong and we currently have two crime scenes currently set up in that area.

“One of those crime scenes is at her unit and the other one is at a location nearby out the front of the unit complex.”

And these Photos ….

This is Unit Block 58 Maryvale Street and can be confirmed on google maps ..
DI Massingham can also be seen at this complex in the footage …

The same 7 News footage also showed this “Rubbish Bin Area“ of the same complex…. Same brickwork etc …..

Notice that one bin is upside down, could it have been washed out and left to dry for a reason??? Eg trying to remove traces of a body?

Or could it be upside down to make a statement? Eg.Please don’t use my bin for recycling?

The other footage of Police Officers looking at bins is taken at the back of the unit complexes in the Lane … not at the front..IMO

All my own opinion, and based purely on the footage we have been shown … just trying to sleuth if media have been trying to show us something in particular???

Possible??

I was reading this article earlier today, where it states the opinion of a leading criminologist. It could be why DI Massingham says that they located Lesley on 28th March, because they saw her (upon review) on the rubbish truck's CCTV from 28th March.

Associate Professor Terry Goldsworthy, of Bond University:
"I think technology has played a role in this investigation already," he said.
"We've seen comments from the police about the fact they're certain a woman was in a bin and the positioning of her in a bin. That would either come from CCTV near where the bins were located, or I suspect CCTV from within the bin trucks."

bbm
I stumbled especially over that. Some CCTV technology would have been required in order to know for sure.

This makes me wonder if they have found (and I'm sorry for being graphic here) a substantial amount of blood. Enough to conclude that her injuries are not compatible with life.

IMO
Yes makes sense… and I have wondered this too … although we have not seen a “major forensics operation” as yet, in the footage … or reported in the news …

Although, it could also be Police withholding information, Massingham has said that he doesn’t know if the blood found is related to the investigation…

Where as a body (If they have already found her, and just not saying?..) is definitely enough to make such a bold call ….. IMO

All imo

Yes and they said that they know what position the body was in.
So I'm more inclined to think they have video.

The fact that they've said she is deceased, I'm not quite sure how they could tell.
Unless there was a huge unsurvivable amount of blood either in the bin or the bin surrounds.

Or injuries to her body that showed that she couldn't possibly be alive :(

I wonder why the recycling bin from 58 Maryvale Street was in the Laneway with the bins from 52 Maryvale Street? In the pic it clearly has the number 58 on the bin.

If they have found her body, for example only, at the Waste Transfer Station, then they would have both I would suspect? They would have definitely checked the truck CCTV footage …

And regardless of the theory that they may have found her on the 28th March, or not, I absolutely agree about the truck footage ..

It’s a very sad situation, as it appears ATM … :(

My bin went missing a couple of years ago.
I was going to report, til I got the idea to have a look in the direction the truck went.
Anyway I found it, around the corner with a bunch of other emptied bins.

Yes it is a mystery … but if a bin from Lesley’s own complex was used for her demise, and then the bin placed out the front on Maryvale Street… a bin could have been taken from 58 to make the number of bins look right on the lane???

Taking a bin with a number on it could have been a mistake???

All imo and speculation ..

Sometimes (and apologies for also being graphic) there may be brain matter recovered from a head injury, which would be non compatible with survival. I think it will be either that, or the amount of blood. I hope they find her soon, terrible for her family.

I guess equally as intriguing as this whole debacle is, is the police process with it.

Agree…. I do get the feeling that Police onslaught (40+ Detectives) on Good Friday was a somewhat “planned” approach … along with media coverage and press conferences …

Dont get me wrong… I am all for it, especially if it helps work out what happened to this poor lady… and gets answers for her family..

No one, especially an elderly lady, deserves such a disrespectful demise ….

IMO

Your first link: The yellow bin No. 58 has a lid, which isn't well closed. I'm asking myself: why?

One other point to ponder about number 58 is…..
Could that “Sold” sign have gone up in the last 2 weeks???

I hadn't noticed that footage of the bins inside the 58 Maryvale property before. Maybe the media are trying to say something.

Another point to note, in the video, this is the same reporter who said "no arrests yet".

58 Maryvale.jpg

I had seen the footage of the police looking in the bin area of the 56 Maryvale property. (I zoomed in on streetview to get the street number of 56 Maryvale.) I thought the police were trying to say something when I first saw that, because it seemed kind of staged.

The yellow bin is the recycling bin. The yellow lid designates it as a recycling bin, I believe throughout the whole of Australia.

DI Massingham said that Lesley was in a general waste bin. The general waste bins have a red, green or black lid (I read on the Brisbane Council site, red being the newer style, green or black being older styles).

“Ongoing investigations can reveal that on the morning of March 28 this year, the body of a female we believe was Lesley Trotter was located in a general waste wheelie bin situated on Maryvale Street, Toowong, near to where she resides.”

This is so so sad. I feel awful for Lesley and her loved ones. I'm praying she didn't suffer and that they find her and get to the bottom of all this... it's all so very strange. :(
