The bit I found most interesting is that he goes on to say that Leslie chose to take a slightly lower price due to the conditions attached.
By choosing a lower offer, other neighbourhood residents could have held grudge if they had their property on the market at the same time? (especially if they were desperate to sell for some reason??)
Or those that were planning on selling shortly??

As a lower settlement figure, could be seen by neighbours, as possibly driving property prices in the area slightly down…..

Also just wondering if you have a link for the video you have referred to please? Many Thanks.

Her 43 year old apartment was in need of major renovations, of course she took an offer lower than asking price. Plus, she was itching to move on to greener pastures.

She didn't fall in.

Maybe a tussle over her bike.

I believe the bike was being stored by one of Lesley’s friends in preparation for her move.

Police have reported that her bike was in storage.

It was reported that Lesley's door was left ajar. I now cannot find that news article now.

Looking inside her unit, her door has one of those really heavy door closure contraptions, that could possibly make the door slam if allowed to close by itself. I wonder if someone tried to leave the unit quietly?

Lesley's unit certainly looked to be in original condition, though well maintained. Not as stylish as other units for sale in that area.

But it went for more than the asking price. According to the real estate agent, it was put on the market for offers over $400,000, and it sold to the 2nd highest bidder for $439,500.

The real estate agent is "brettandreassen" and he has an Instagram account where we can find the information. He even posted the list of offers. The highest bidder was only $1,000 more, but among their conditions they wanted a 28-day settlement - which likely did not suit Lesley. imo

(Brett uses the Instagram account to promote his real estate portfolio and transactions, in a really positive and likeable manner. There are many homes listed there. The sale of Lesley's unit demonstrated one of his successes with his new online bidding system.)

It's all gone very quiet.
I am hoping that Lesley will be found, and that a cause of death will be found.

It really has. I haven’t heard anything further about the search for remains. I guess they won’t say anymore until they’ve made some progress.

Somehow the case is reminding me of Audrey Gleave in Canada (2010); maybe because LT was a teacher in pension also or because her fate is so gruesome.
Did have LT also have something like a nice, young handyman?

I haven't totally ruled out it being a terrible accident.

I did a search on the QLD crime map for the last month, 3 incidents are listed on the map. Unfortunately the map wont allow you to zoom right in to see an exact address and just has the hotspot to mark where the incidents occurred so it can be out a little bit. A cluster of 3 incidents. The blue hot spot appears to possibly be in a unit complex next to or 2 doors up from 58. Initially police reported 2 crime scenes had been set up.

7 Apr 2023 — “We believe her death occurred close to her unit block on Maryvale St, Toowong, and we currently have two crime scenes set up in that area.”.

you can turn the icon bottom left to “cluster“ and it states the offences in the cluster. You can also highlight 3 distinct times as well. All the 4 in the cluster around clayton lane happened between 10pm-6am.

Thanks @Plover99!

From the article

Specialist teams are now scouring two waste facilities – one at Swanbank and another at Rochedale – to find her remains.

But detectives are no closer to finding a suspect, authorities confirmed on Monday.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham told reporters last week their investigations had so far determined Trotter’s body was placed in a general waste wheelie bin on Maryvale Street, near where she lived, on the morning of her disappearance, and blood was later found at a nearby unit block’s bin area.

Police have not revealed how they know her body was placed in the bin, but explained that bin was picked up by a rubbish truck, which dumped a load at a waste transfer station at Nudgee in Brisbane’s north

Is there a way to post the Courier Mail article? I am a subscriber and sharing the link doesn’t normally work for non subscribers.

Oh dear. This is just so, so twisted.
Lesley, and her family, deserved so much better than this. What happened??

I think what we can do is paraphrase what is in the article.
Ie reword it in your own words.
I'm not too sure. Maybe someone else will know

I'm wondering just what makes them certain that she was placed in the bin.
What would make them so sure.

Maybe the blood outside the bin was hers and it was too much to survive losing. Maybe blood wasn't all they found.
Maybe they have video of someone putting her in the bin, but if so they're keeping it to themselves.

Maybe someone saw a body sized object being put in a bin.

I am hoping that they are keeping a lot to themselves, trying not to jeopardise the investigation
