Key clue may help cops ID human remains north of Perth

Clothing was found with human bones discovered north of Perth with homicide detectives trawling through missing person reports to help identify who the remains belong to.

Police are yet to release any significant detail about the skeletal remains uncovered in bushland in Neerabup several days ago.

Any chance it could just be a hiker or Walker that succumbed to a medical episode or dehydration?

It's an inland countryside area north of Perth city, but not too far from the suburbs of Clarkson and Mindarie.

I'd like to hear why the WA police suspect murder. I'm presuming there is evidence of non-self-inflicted trauma on the body remains?

Police have found a lot of bodies over the last few years that they aren't interested in investigating. I believe this body was a bikie who disappeared back in 1980; police don't care, too long ago and they don't want to get their hands dirty except if it is who I think it is it's then it was murder made to look like suicide; a murder linked to police corruption in the Greenwood area and a high profile missing persons case that same year; one police claim to want solved but don't really. All deaths should be investigated even if the investigation is half hearted and the media should follow up on 🤬🤬🤬🤬 like this but I guess a body is only news worthy if there are photos/film footage to go with it.

Hi Notcrazy, welcome to Websleuths. I sympathise with the frustration with Australian police. I guess the good news with this case is that they are trying to ID this person. Do you know if the person you have in mind has been reported missing or suggested as a match for this body?

I was just searching for an update on this case, and couldn't find any news. The only interesting result was a June 19 post from the "Justice 4 Jesper" FB page about missing man Jorn Jesper Jensen, saying they got confirmation that the remains found in Neerabup were not those of Jesper. The author wrote "My sincere condolences to the family involved", which makes me wonder if they learned that the remains WERE identified as a different person. Perhaps that would explain why there hasn't been a follow-up in the media, if the remains were identified and the deceased's family doesn't want media attention.

Thanks for the input you make a valid point and it is likely accurate; but as my stupid user name suggests I'm not entirely on the right side of normal. I have memory problems related to a sometimes 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 childhood and associated PTSD, this news item 'triggered' a memory from 1980 that lead to another memory I'd been trying to pick apart unfortunately without more information relating to these remains I can't be certain that this is body has any connection at all to a murder I witnessed when I was 13 or the events that occurred after. I can't make a statement about a random body found somewhere within an 80km radius of where I think a body might have been taken and staged to look like suicide 40 years ago unless there's something to verify it has some relevance to the 'trigger' source.
Sorry sometimes I just need to vent my frustration out loud; I went looking for more information on this body and all I found was this page, I didn't think this threat was still active and didn't expect anyone to read it let alone answer me.
