From the Daily Mail article:

I know I'm the weirdo for not posting every little thing that happens to me on social media, but does it seem odd to anyone else that the mom is so distraught she can't speak to police for days (weeks?) but dad is tweeting about it the same day? And the tone of the tweet is a little.... Idk, I can't find the word I'm looking for....self-congratulatory? Holier-than-thou? Condescending?

Ah, people do cope and grieve in different ways. And some people don't seem to be as affected by personal tragedy as others, and are quickly able to put it behind them and move on. Heck, there are even people who seem to enjoy the attention.

Also, traditionally men are encouraged to "be strong" for their family and not show their emotions, whereas women are encouraged to weep and have hysterics. The mother is probably feeling horrendously guilty and probably has a good chance of developing clinical depression... Whereas the father may be bottling up his feelings, but he could privately be in torment.

ETA - I just reread your post and realised that the father posted that on the *same day* that the baby died! I was assuming it was weeks later. It does seem very strange and inappropriate, but perhaps he was still in shock at the time. A tragedy like that can just make you feel completely numb, and the reality of the situation doesn't hit until days later.
