Property records reveal the 3.6ha Advancetown property is owned by Loreto Patricia Sheerin, Coulter’s mother.

A source close to the investigation confirmed the link.

The unoccupied property is believed to have recently been raided by police and a large hydroponic marijuana set-up dismantled.

No charges have been laid against Ms Sheerin.

Ms Sheerin and husband John are understood to be associates of Mr Babbington.

Coulter was previously married to Jamie Babbington, a high school sweetheart, who is believed to be a relative of David Babbington.

The singer and her then-husband split in 2008 after only a year of marriage.

March 2014:
A hit man or hit men are believed to be involved in the murder of Novy Chardon — who disappeared 13 months ago today.

Sources close to the case told the Bulletin that police had received information recently, taking the investigation on a different course.
Suspicions that Mrs Chardon had been murdered and disposed of by up to three professional killers prompted police to raid a Mount Nathan home and dig up the backyard this week. It is understood police questioned a key figure in the case in the past few days.

Lawyer Campbell MacCallum represents the property owner and the man who lived at the Mr Nathan property.

Mr MacCallum arrived at the scene and said his clients "deny any involvement" in the case.

"We're quite confident that more than one person was involved in the murder and certainly the murder and the disposal of Novy's body."

So MacCallum represents the person who lived at the property (Babbington ?? did he maybe move to Mt Nathan after living at the property in Advancetown? Seeing that it is now unoccupied) and Sheerin.

Just found the link again, sleep.

"Her Volvo was parked near the Nerang train station shortly before 2am on February 7, but it was moved the following night about 9pm.

Residents say the Volvo was driven away and then returned six minutes later and parked on the opposite side of the road."

Coulter’s parents, Loreto Sheerin and husband John, are believed to be currently overseas.

There is no evidence of any wrongdoing on their part.

Yes, no reason to think that they have any knowledge of this, and they are fully cooperating with police. Just interesting that MacCallum represents them too. But maybe Loreto just hooked Babbington up with MacCallum for some reason back when he was associated with her through marriage, and Babbington still uses MacCallum for anything he needs.

He certainly isn't the lawyer that represented Chardon, so no reason at all to think they are all in this together.

I knew the name 'Babbington ' rang a bell back when they raided his house but didn't know why. Now they've said the property is owned by her mother the penny drops and I remember that Ricki Lee was married to Jamie Babbington ( a Gold Coast builder )

This case just gets stranger and stranger ....

_____

^ Just trying to make sense of this.

1. The property is owned by Ms Sheerin.
2. A "large" (this Queensland, so 'large' means 'LARGE') pot farm is discovered on it, "recently"
3. The owner is not charged. (so WHOSE pot farm was it?)
4. The owner's daughter used to be married to Babbington's brother (who bought it in 2007?)
5. Babbington's probably into heroin. Fingered in a CCC investigation for god knows what, including, we may assume, Novy's murder. It's established that Babbington and John Chardon know each other.

I wanna know whose pot farm that was.

At the age of 15, Coulter met Jamie Babbington, a builder from Gold Coast who was aged 23 at the time.[91][123] They started "dating seriously" after about a year.[91] Coulter and Babbington married at a secret location in Canungra, Queensland on 7 September 2007.[3][124] Coulter took her husband's last name and became Ricki-Lee Babbington.[124] The couple had their honeymoon in the Maldives for five weeks.[3] The following year, on 18 October 2008, Coulter's publicist issued a statement that they had separated due to "distance and time apart".[125] In December 2008, it was revealed that Babbington had found a new girlfriend.[111] In an interview with Herald Sun's Jonathan Moran, three years after the marriage ended, Coulter revealed that she had experienced depression during her relationship with Babbington. "I was living my dream but behind closed doors my personal life was a mess. [...] I felt alone, I bottled it all up and it made things worse. I wanted to give up everything. I wouldn't leave the house for days at a time. I'd sit in the house all day and do nothing".[126]

sept 2014:

Police swoop on bikie feeder gang Southside Soldiers and seize drugs, stolen goods, weapons and cash

ONE of the Gold Coast’s most violent street gangs has been shut down by police in a dawn blitz across the southern end of the city.

An elaborate hydroponic cannabis crop believed to be linked to the gang was also shut down just as it was being harvested at Advancetown with plants more than 1.8 metres tall and weighing more than 50kg.

I'm so glad that there's some action happening!

Whilst I'm not impressed with MSM dragging Ricki-Lee into this, it does at least draw attention to Novy's case! AND I'm quite sure it's p!ssing JC off that it's big news :)
