From my notes and convo with Marshall, the media report of three hit-men was actually one hit-man to do the 'kill'; the 2nd to help with the disposal of the body, and the 3rd person (on John Chardon's insistance) be his lover Marshall Bari Aguilor. Chardon did not want to negotiate with anyone other than Marshall.

Novy was not 'in the dark'... As discussed in testimony - just as John Chardon knew of Novy's extramarital affair, John Chardon's connection to Marshall originated from Novy's friend Deborah. In court, there were emails between Marshall and Deborah discussed, and further some where John Chardon wanted Marshall to 'work' for him in Indonesia. Deborah discouraged Marshall from going in emails saying 'he wanted him to go for dark reasons'. The work opportunity did not eventuate.

Outside of court, I formed the opinion that this 'work with financial recompense' likely involved trafficking/providing underage girls for John Chardon.

A Queensland man accused of murdering his wife told police who were investigating her disappearance she dressed like a "hooker".

Chardon also spoke of the divorce dispute during the long interview during which even his own lawyer reminded him to keep on track.

Under questioning from police he said he had been "shocked" to receive a letter from Ms Chardon's divorce lawyer at 3pm on the day she later disappeared - February 6, 2013.
He said he asked her about the letter later that night but she "totally ignored" him.

Qld murder trial hears of costly divorce

On Wednesday, the court heard Chardon, in a replayed police interview, tell detectives his wife wanted a 50-50 split of their assets after receiving legal advice.

"She told me she'd (also) get a share of (my) company," he said during the interview recorded 22 days after Ms Chardon disappeared.

Ms Chardon also wanted a cut of her husband's $600,000 investment in a quarry, and superannuation, but Chardon said it was never going to happen.

"(The lawyer) said she was entitled to a 50-50 but that's just the lawyer," he said.

Earlier in the same series of recorded interviews, Chardon told detectives he had been "shocked" to receive a letter from his wife's lawyer at 3pm on the same day she disappeared.

He said he didn't "know a bloody thing" about what had happened to his missing wife other than he remembered her saying words to the effect that she was going, or had to go, away.

She probably fled after "someone has put the fear of Christ into her", he said during the interview.

The court heard Queensland police forensic officers tested stains in the master bedroom carpet for blood, cleaning chemicals and urine.

Queensland Health chemist Tony Peter told the court he examined samples of the stained carpet and found urine in two areas of the master bedroom carpet.

I wonder when Chardon's two daughters will be put on the stand?

I have been reading a Courier Mail article that says a (female) employee of Chardon's - who was good friends of his daughters - went to one of the daughters (Candice) home to pick up the box containing the handcuffs and gun. The employee then took it to the other daughter's (Angela) house. Angela put the box in a bag and threw it in her complex's bin.

Later Candice came over, put on blue gloves and was frantically looking through the bin for the bag containing the box/handcuffs/gun. It was gone.

Accused murderer scared wife so badly she 'wet herself' the night before going missing, court told

Multi-millionaire accused murderer John Chardon scared his wife Novy so badly she "wet herself" on their bedroom carpet the night she went missing, a court has heard.

Prosecutor Mark Green argued the bedroom carpet of the couple's Upper Coomera home smelled of detergent the morning after Novy disappeared, because of "a threat that caused herself to spill urine on the carpet".

Prosecutors also alleged the Gold Coast businessman enlisted his 15-year-old daughter to lie for him as part of his cover story for killing Novy in February 2013.

• John Chardon allegedly made "bad mistakes" covering up the alleged killing, including packing up things to suggest his wife had left, forgetting items like her passport, cash and cards
• The court heard Mr Chardon's marriage to his wife soured amid his sexual dalliances with people he paid money to in the Philippines

In the Courier Mail article just now, it says that Chardon's daughter, Candice, told an employee of the lubricant business that Novy's iPad was at the bottom of the Nerang River.
Candice was put on the stand and she denied saying that.

Novy's handbag was found containing her passport and wads of cash at their Upper Coomera house.

Chardon also explained in court that the AR15 that he was trying to buy was the type used in the Port Arthur massacre because it is an assault and military rifle that is designed to wound (then he was interrupted before he could go on about that any more).

The police must have collected a fair amount of forensic and circumstantial evidence around the time of Novy's disappearance. Will it be enough to put JC away for good?
His daughters (the ones who helped him) will have to carry the weight of his crime on their shoulders for the rest of their lives. Come to think of it perhaps many people assisted. Given some of the comments made by the family it seems likely Novy was put into water.MOO
Novy married the very worst of men and paid the price for that final act of trust: telling him she wanted a divorce. What else could she have done? There were her children and their futures to consider. RIP Novy
