It was October, 2003, when a friend called the Wrights, who were in Tasmania at the time, to tell them that Paul had not been seen for a while.

For all those years there has been no sign of him, no activity on his bank accounts, no sightings and no phone calls ...

"We have great sadness and great guilt over what's happened," Nick said. "I realise he might not feel comfortable contacting us after all this time. Maybe he doesn't want to hurt us any more. But that's not the case. We understand if he doesn't want to come back. He's made his choices as a grown man but even if he just gets a message to us that he's fine, he's alive... I can't tell you what that would mean."
