oh no, this isn't sounding good. how far could a 2 year old wander? if he wandered off at all

When there’s a dog involved there’s usually a problem. Kids follow dogs BUT ONLY sometimes the dog will keep the child safe and warm to an extent.

It is understood the boy was last seen yesterday, playing in the garage near the Koolatah Station homestead, with his little black puppy. http://7news.link/Zlzvr3 #7NEWS

I wonder if the pup’s still with him.

It could lean either way as the dog can be a detriment where the child will follow the dog further and sometimes toward water.
He was seen in a garage with the pup so I’m hoping they’ve checked fridges, freezers, cupboards and mainly vehicles that they could be locked in but they would’ve made a sound by now.

Oh no! Take a look at the huge lake right near the homestead.

The legendary ‘Koolatah Lake’ is a 5km long waterhole on Yanko Creek and is reputed to be up to 6m in depth. There are a number of dams on the property and creation of additional dams is a simple as excavating almost any seasonal swamp.

That lake couldn’t be closer.

It’s a real worry, along with the amount of time Ruben’s been missing. I hope someone finds him soon.

I’d like to know where the pup is as they are smarter than human pups.

Could someone have harmed Ruben?

how thorough has the initial search been? machinery,buildings,vehicles.....has it been thorough before rushing out to the outer areas? a 2 year old can't cover that much ground that quickly

is he nearer 3? or just turned 2.....

Hi Rosegold, I agree about the distance a toddler can travel, it’s the water so close which concerns me.

It appears there’s a lot of workers there.
A managers cottage, 2 x 4 workers rooms....even a donga used as a classroom.

This article says he just turned 2.

The "crocodile infested area" are the words that send shivers up my spine. So scary for this little one. I'm horrified to think of what may have happened to him. He wouldn't need to be in the water, just close enough to the bank, for a croc to lunge out and grab him. It could happen so quickly that there probably wouldn't be time for him to make a sound. I truly hope he ran off and got lost, is waiting for someone to find him. I'm sure searchers are listening for any cries from him as well as looking for visible evidence.

Police divers will travel to a remote cattle station in FNQ today to search for a missing 2yo boy. Ruben Scott was last seen on Tuesday afternoon near the station homestead. @abcbrisbane

Hours earlier Ms Scott urged anyone with information to contact police. “We want our Ruby home safe and sound,” she added.

The little boy only recently turned two.
Search for missing toddler in crocodile habitat continues

Is it just me or does this wording suggest someone knows something about his disappearance? MOO

It does suggest that Ms Scott may believe that someone may know something.
Or maybe she hopes someone knows something (else), because the other outcome that can be imagined is something quite terrible.
