Person has no Facebook posts between Jan 2017 until June 2020, 3 months after Russell and Carol went missing. Looks like a decent bloke I wonder what Police will allege took place if he gets charged?

Looks like a decent family man by Facebook...

fits with what police said about this being a normal person still going about their day to day life imo

I see he went to Kadina High School in SA - that's not far from where I grew up. I don't remember that surname in the district though.

Very few posts on FB but did post on the 1 year anniversary of Russell and Carol disappearance and he has been sledged already. I think public profile will be changed very quickly IMO

Certainly not the suspect I envisaged. 55yo airline pilot/ family man, wow. And I wonder what he’s been saying to his family about being up in the high country when Russell and Carol went missing, plus what reasons he used to change the colour of his vehicle. I’m sure the police have been listening the whole time so this will be interesting. Being an airline pilot might’ve helped him, work colleagues probably aren’t aware of what car he drives. Such an interesting twist.

Yes, certainly not the type of person most of us were probably expecting. No-one would have expected it to be him. I have always liked to think that the pilot of my plane is cool, calm, intelligent, and a totally upright citizen. Oh well, another illusion busted.

I remember about a year ago someone on here wrote something along the lines of ' the police know who it is, all theories are wrong, and it will shock you'....
Wonder if they were talking about this guy?

20 March 2020 was the exact date that Australia's borders shut to all international inbound travel except for people getting into hotel quarantine. I believe domestic travel restrictions between states also went in effect.

I wonder if the sudden border closures impacted his job security at Jestar and he lashed out when something happened between him and Russell & Carol because he was already stressed and on edge.

I wonder why a pilot who earns good money would hang onto a 20 year old car which could incriminate him?

He can't bear to part with it?
If it were me, popping into a criminal's mind, I'd have a fake accident with a tree and send it to the scrap yard.

Dramatic details of missing campers arrest

Mr Lynn, who is reportedly a captain with a major airline, was tracked leaving his Caroline Springs home on Monday.

Heavily armed police on helicopters later intercepted him at Licola, more than 230km away.

Mr Lynn has not been charged.

I think this is not behind a paywall

I wonder what set him off?
I’m trying to work out what sort of event between three people, leaves two dead. Fight at the campground? Accidental damage to property? Did any of them have any weapons?

No one has mentioned Russell or Carol being into shooting, unless I missed it.

He might have been thinking a long time about doing something like that and Russell and Carol was the right opportunity for him to do that. I've always found it interesting that the killer had enough knowledge to burn the crime scene and get rid of the bodies, not sure how many guys who really accidentally kill in the heat of the moment would have that foresight.

Also, that was the peak of the realisation that covid was spreading and Australia began to shut down international and internal borders. Could the stress of job uncertainty have pushed him to act out?

He looks very meek, mild and pleasant but I guess looks can be deceiving.

They were maybe hoping he might lead them to Russell and Carol.

Heavily armed police on helicopters later intercepted him at Licola, more than 230km away.
