Police say remains found in Adelaide's north belong to murdered man

SA Police say human remains found in Adelaide's northern suburbs earlier this week belong to a man who went missing in August.

They say DNA testing confirmed last night that a torso found in a wheelie bin in a field on Cheviot Road in Salisbury South on Monday is that of Geoffrey McLean, a 55-year-old man from Andrews Farm who was last seen on August 18.

...

It is understood police are investigating the possibility of the previous attacks and the murder being linked.

The gist of the article is that he'd been the victim of multiple attacks leading up to his disappearance and that multiple perpetrators may be involved in his death.

Pair charged over murder of Adelaide man whose torso was found in bin

A man from Adelaide's northern suburbs has appeared in court charged with the alleged murder of another man from the same area whose torso was found in a wheelie bin.

A woman charged over the same alleged murder is expected to face court on Monday.

...

Detective Inspector Mark McEachern this morning said more people may be arrested over the dismemberment and disposal of Mr McLean's body.

"We're still to locate some of Mr McLean remains," Inspector McEachern said.

Police search rubbish dump for missing remains of Geoffrey McLean

...70 per cent of rubbish collected in the neighbourhood had been traced to the Uleybury rubbish dump, where officers are currently searching.

...

"The reality is we do need a little bit of luck because we know that 30 per cent of the rubbish from that area — we do not know where it has gone," he said.

...

"We do have to consider the possibility that if Geoffrey is not here that we won't be able to identify the other 30 per cent of rubbish."

(Scroll down, there are two stories on the one page, the one at the top is a different case.)

"Police will continue to search for Geoff's remains so that his family and loved ones can farewell him in the right way."

The Civil District Court on Tuesday heard Ms Glastonbury wants to access her assets, including her house, after they've already been restrained by the Director of Public Prosecutions earlier this year.

But a prosecutor told District Court Judge Simon Stretton they want Ms Glastonbury's application to be "struck down"

The prosecutor alleged some of Mr McLean's assets had been transferred to Ms Glastonbury after his death.

"The motor vehicles are in the name of Mr McLean although some of them were transferred – or an attempt to transfer those vehicles into the name of Ms Glastonbury was made – we say… after his death," she said.
