3/26/24 Update: No info on hearing. Next preliminary hearing setting on 7/18/24 @ 8:30am. 7/18/24 Update: A date was supposed to be scheduled for a preliminary hearing where LA's DA will present evidence & testimony & Judge Lench will rule whether the case against Haskell is strong enough for him to be tried by a jury. But after consulting in chambers with prosecutor Beth Silverman & Haskell's attorney, Joseph Weimortz, Judge Lench delayed the setting of the prelim date by 90 days to a hearing on 10/15/24.

Not finding any news about the preliminary hearing. Can any of you more well versed in the process tell me why that is the case? Are we waiting on judge's decision?

pretrial conferences are usually not heavily covered in the press IME. That is mainly an administrative hearing early on prior to trial to handle motions and other logistics that need to be addressed prior to setting trial date.

Do we even know if there is a trial date set yet?

@tlcya - no, no trial date set yet. I am having problems with the L.A. County court site - it just keeps "spinning" while searching for his case - that happened yesterday also. I will check later today to see if I get anything.

He is just so creepy, I can’t imagine ever being friends with him. Can someone remind me where he worked? Did he have a real job?

I don’t think he had a regular job. He seemed to be somewhat self-employed, working on projects.
