Mr Segal's car was found on January 22 and the park was closed for an extensive search, but no trace of Mr Segal was found.

Ms Segal said her brother loves nature, a passion he was passing along to his now four-years-old daughter.

"He used to love taking her out to the bush and teaching her all about the trees and the birds that are around. Sam loved being out in nature and never failed to make me laugh.

"He has always been my number one. He was always there, for the both the good and the bad, so now even moments of celebration are painful because I can't celebrate with him."

Mr Segal was driving a Grey Toyota Hilux Ute, registration EQR62X, on the day he went missing. He has multiple tattoos and a gold tooth.

With the findings from the Inquest into the Death of Mr Samuel Segal slated at the Coroner's Court tomorrow (Tuesday 18th June 2024), I can advise that her Honour Magistrate Baptie, Deputy State Coroner concluded that, on the balance of probabilities, Sam died by misadventure between 15-25 January 2022. However, without a body or more evidence, there is no certainty.

I have tangential links to the case and the victim and the above was posted on a related Facebook page. Not a surprising outcome given the extremely large amount of unknowns in the case. I have heard allegations and whispers that Mr Segal was involved in drug supply as a small-scale dealer and there is a belief that this may have played a key role in his disappearance.

The remains of a young father who vanished three years ago have been found.

Arborist and keen outdoorsman Samuel Segal, 29, was last seen on January 15, 2022, when CCTV captured him at Glenbrook National Park in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

Hikers found human remains in the park two weeks ago, on August 16.

I'm happy he's been found, but sad that he lost his life.
