Yes there has been hearsay and comments on the news stories from northside people that claim that Sam was dealing. Of course we wont know 100% until it is revealed to the public. I also think people speculate drugs as it seems to be a quick way to make money and provides a motive for the murder ie sam not paying back money and one fact we know now that his car was used as kcollateral when it was stolen last year and discovered two streets away from the crime house.

I also speculated pages ago that Sam was involved in drugs. But since then i'm not so sure since the two arrests, but yeah, we will see or we might never know exactly why?

I wish that was the case but I'm sorry the money was from drugs/illegal activity. Someone who was close with Sam had that 50-60k worth of money thrown onto their lap (she/he I won't say was waiting in his car) he went into a house and laughed saying he wasn't doing a drug deal and that's what he came back to the car with.. So I don't know how to explain that one..

Yes, I agree, Tiger. I don't really dispute that, at all. We have suspected from the start that is the case.

My post was more out of concern for Sam's family, and the speculation about they must have known - and perhaps others wondering why they couldn't have done something more for their adult child.
Because they are going through a very tough time right now.

Sorry if that got lost in my translation.

The Bunnings, that I assume they bought the things from, is probably less than 1 km from Roberto Boscainos house.

Is he the one that police got evidence in his house from? Bald hills or somewhere?

When my brother was involved with drug dealing, we the siblings, would sign the back of any cheques we had (this is years ago), and my parents would give us cash for them. To help him out with large volumes of cash. Just this time. Just this mistake. You get the drift. A parent's love is unconditional. Particularly with boys.

I totally understand that. As a parent I would never want to not help. A parents love is unconditional.

Mr Thompson has not been seen or heard from since leaving his apartment.

On Thursday, police confirmed a 23-year-old man, also from Brisbane, was charged with his murder and interfering with his corpse.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

Mr Thompson’s body has not yet been found.

The charge comes a day after police seized a car suspected to be the white Chrysler in the CCTV footage from a Bald Hills home.

The home was declared a crime scene while authorities also searched a nearby tip.

The 22-year-old’s parents reported him missing earlier this month.

He was the victim of an unsolved robbery in Brisbane last September, in which his car was stolen.

Police suspected early on he met with foul play and also investigated whether his disappearance was linked to the earlier crime.

The Bald Hills house is the one the police were at for 3 or more days. There is a Bunnings at Carseldine. Just up the road from RB's house. You could walk it easily. Through a park even.

( for those that have the same problem, I think my chopping board / frisbee is back to impersonating an iPad ! )

Also lets just say if Sam had told his parents that he was dealing pot ( just me speculating) I think it would be easy to dumb the senario down. Pot on the grand scheme of things isn't a big deal these days.

Yes, like when Sam's dad said that if he is in trouble ... no trouble is too big. Or something along those lines. There are not too many people who would not try to help their beloved children out of a major jam. Especially a serious, potentially life-threatening one.

My 3 boys have smoked pot, but if they got into drug dealing they know i would kick their butt.

It certainly is not a Class A drug, that's for sure. And has been legalised in quite a few overseas places. Used to be semi-legal for personal amounts here in SA, years ago - back in Don Dunstan days.

I think they should legalize all of it and take the criminal element out of it. Our Govt.s could do that, and if they want drugs get a Dr.s perscription. If they can afford street drugs they can afford a perscription.
Marijuana should be legalized anyway, and people should be allowed to grow a couple of plants.

I would think that if the drug of choice, if drugs are involved which is a 50/50 guess ATM, was pot LE may not be keeping so tight lipped about it. In Australia there's not much on the news about it.
The stories tend to lean to ice and heroin and other more substantial drugs.
However considering we have not heard more about it, MOO is that it is likely ice - given posts on the FB pages etc and the secrecy.
LE may be tracking down the 'big fish'.

Do you mean legalise pot or all drugs in general?

I just hope there will be justice and the right people are put away. No other murder case has ever made me feel so upset like I personally knew the person. I think it is because this scenario is my worst fear to happen to me as my brother was dealing and using Ice. Every night I would go to bed wondering if he would be alive the next day. And I just can't imagine how his sister and parents would be feeling.
