Can you give us an approximate address?

#12 something street ... across the road from the bonny (Bonny View Tavern). That's all I have been able to figure out so far! :D

Haven't done a google-walk yet, though.

(If you are asking about the crime scene - don't feel that there is a lot of harm speaking of this, as the media are all over it already.)

Hi there :)

I'm getting the impression that he was a volunteer fighter and not actually in the army from what I've read so far. Interesting to know if this is the case, and if so why he chose that avenue rather than the Forces.

Ashley Dyball did his basic training in the ADFbut was discharged medically due to a back.injury and was not allowed to continue which lead him to become a panpac weightlifting champion. He volunteered for the YPG agaisnt ISIS.
This whole thing has blown us all away, I really feel for his parents. He comes from a good family.

Welcome Drb. :seeya:

That is very sad to hear. Seems they all come from decent families. Heartbreaking for them all.

Obviously PTSD has alot to do with his state of mind. Who knows what was going through his.mind at theat time, especially IF he was using ice as peiple are specluating. Depending o n how it is used depends on how the persone reacts. Smoking it usually makes them hyped up,extremely paranoid and sometimes halucinating. If he was having flash backs who knows. I do know for a fact his state of mind was very fragile upon returning home. He seemed ro be coping outwarsly but photos said otherwise. A picture speaks a thousand words.

Well if guilty of murdering Samuel, he can sit in prison now and have a good hard think about what he has done. He might be lucky Australia doesn't have the DP.

I truly believe PTSD is a huge player in his state of mind. I suffer from it myself due to an armed hold up, I can't even begin to imagine how traumatised he is from seeing the things he did.

Last changed hands in 1984. If it is a rental, it is not through an agency.

Dyball isn't saying anything much at all since he was deported from Germany, where he was taking a break from the combat zone, and returned against his wishes to Australia on Tuesday.

His silence is understandable, as he could face charges relating to foreign incursion offences designed to stop Australian nationals from going overseas and joining terrorist groups like IS. Following his return he was briefly detained by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) before being released without charge.
So far three Australians have come under investigation for either assisting Kurdish forces or attempting to travel to join the group. Former Northern Territory Labor Party leader Matthew Gardiner and Dyball are being investigated over their roles with Kurdish forces while Melbourne man Jamie Williams, who was stopped trying to travel to the area, has been charged with an offence relating to preparing to enter a foreign country with the intention of engaging in hostile activities. Two Australians Reece Harding and Ashley Johnston have been killed after joining the Kurdish forces.
Dyball confirmed via brief comments on his Facebook page this week that he was "still under investigation".

Ice does not discriminate.. good family or bad. Whole or broken family units. I believe Ash is suffering PTSD. Im not sure if he received counselling when he returned home. One can only hope he dis.

But police would have processed the crime scene, and it could still be cordoned off?

Police packed everything up at the crime scene this afternoon.

He had no right to be there.

Yes, let's hope he gets any treatment he requires. They will want him to stand trial, so I feel that they will offer treatment in jail. Whether he accepts it or not is another story.

It may be that the govt agencies (prosecution, judiciary) may not show too much empathy toward him, as he went to Syria without govt permission - which has been the requirement for a few years now. But they will definitely try to settle him for trial, as we have seen in other cases here.

I would find it very hard to believe that dealing pot would amass that much money. I would believe that he may have told friends and family that he was dealing pot. i have known pot dealers in my time and not one of them had a flash lifestyle like that.
Really? Weed is up to around $3-400 an ounce in Brisbane. These guys deal in many pounds at a time. It's big business, and it's harder to get than ice in this city.

It would be interesting to know if he actually has choices in his type of therapy or if it is chosen for him

She hadn't been in a war zone.

What's that got to do with it? It says PTSD is no symptom of criminal behaviour. And apart from that AD had no right to go there according to the Australian Govt.
