Close family friend of the Thompsons here. The Go fund me account is 100% sincere! The family didn't know it was being made and the lady who made it is a lovely beautiful person. I do agree that funding a boob job on go fund me gives it a bad name. All us as friends want to do is give him a farewell. I don't think we are asking for much honestly.

Hi & Welcome to the forum. That is lovely and what i thought was the case, that is was something special done for Sam's family. The video is beautiful. And as i said i donated and happy to help in Sam's farewell. I am so heartbroken for all of you, :(

Because "people here" know this group and/or people associated with them. Not much distance between a lot of the young fellas this age in those suburbs.

You're very right Marples

This thread is filled with some of the most judgemental, high and mighty and apparently flawless people Ive ever seen. Humble yourselves.

The way I see it is there is a family that is grieving and can never have their son back. Wether he was or wasn't involved in illegal dealings should not be a basis for them not having a fundraising page. I don't see that there is anything wrong with it. Why not give a little light to them at a dark time? I think it shows love and respect for Sam's family In a torturous time.

I recall seeing a photograph of Sam in Germany, Ashley Dyball was also in Germany in December 2015. I was trying to figure out if their dates matched up but I can't find SW facebook to look at the dates again. I'm happy to figure it out if I can get to SW's facebook, any help please? Would be kind of interesting if they did.

ST was in Germany in 2016 :)

Welcome ... and thank you. :)

I don't think you are asking for much either. My condolences to you all. May Sam's family have strength to see them through this terrible ordeal.

I agree, and life never prepares us for the death of a child or a young person. It's nice to have you here and it's good you like what you see here.
I would love to know more about Sam, he sounded like a wonderful young man from what i read in the news about him. But i guess you would have to become Verified for that.

I'm not too sure if I've done that correct? Posting back to someone? Ha. Yes sam was a fantastic person / friend / son / brother ect. I've read 99% of the social media comments and let's just say like someone already quoted "people act like they themselves havnt even done anything wrong" we all want answers. When we get so invested in something all we want is answers. I'm sure in due course we will get them. Not too sure how the system works in Queensland but it maybe a couple of years before a trial date is in place I've heard ?

Yes, there is a good chance that trials for the alleged perpetrators could be a couple of years away. At least 1½ years, I would guess. Maybe longer, if their lawyers drag things out. Judging by what we have seen in various cases on here.

I think thats what is going to be the hard part. Constantly waiting for a trial date. Will be very interesting. Cops have been good on this one. Praise them for what they do.

Yes you quoted the post just fine, :) Yes there are so many questions as to why Sam was murdered, and it's terrible. No one should end up murdered at the hands of another IMO.
I think about my own sons and what i would do, and i don't think i could ever have a relationship with them again after something like that. Like Sam's parents said he was a lover not a fighter.
I know we all make mistakes in life, but we also have to draw a line with how badly we mess up, and exactly, no one is perfect.
I am sure you will all hold close to your heart the wonderful memories you have of Sam, and wish you all the best.
Yes a case can take quite a while to go to Trial.

I have the highest respect for our police. Particularly the ones working these types of cases. They are thorough and do everything they possibly can to ensure the perpetrators are locked away for a long time.

They are very good to the victim's family, and have a great deal of compassion. Most of them are parents, too. With children that may have messed up along the way. They understand.

Yes, the police do a difficult job so well. They must see, hear and learn terrible things but they stay the course. Although it's probably been the longest month of his family's life, locating his remains and arresting those allegedly responsible hopefully helps in some small way.

I agree, they were very quick to make arrests and have done a very good job.

A childcare worker whose remains which were found in bushland at Caboolture north of Brisbane was bashed before being buried in a shallow grave.
Police on Friday confirmed the human remains identified as those of Queensland man Samuel Thompson.
Even though Mr Thompson was assaulted no cause of death has been established.

In usual Daily Mail style, they have very bluntly stated that Sam was bashed, and that the cause of death is unknown at this time.

Which leads me to wonder if the interference after the act, as well as natural decomposition, has made the COD less easy to determine.

Not that I think this will lessen the implications for Boscaino and Dyball. The police have charged them with murder - not manslaughter. Unless these charges get revised at a later date.
