And just to clarify what I mean about murder and not manslaughter ... in the above ^^^^ post.

The mens rae (mental element) of murder is "malice aforethought" - and the interpretations of malice vary between pure intent and recklessness or negligence.

So, it seems that even if the perpetrators bashed Sam without actually intending to kill him, the assault may have been severe enough - or in an area such as the head - that they should have known it could kill a person.

I wonder if any of the locals know if Boscaino and/or Dyball have been involved with physically assaulting anyone before?

Although, I guess they could have assaulted Sam himself before anyway, if they were responsible for the home invasion.

And that fits with the comments from old school friends of his on the Qld Police FB page.

There's been alot of comments about AD being violent and aggressive throughout high school.

I haven't seen much commentary on RB on social media, come to think of it.......it's hard to get a sense of who he is.

Has anyone entertained the notion that ST may have been murdered due to the idea that he was dealing drugs? Maybe it's a revenge attack if someone close to the perpetrators died as a result of a drug overdose..... If AD genuinely went overseas to fight the bad guys because of what was going on over there in relation to the killing of innocent people then I think it's possible that he would be angered by drug dealers.

However if he was known to deal drugs then I think it's completely hypocritical of him to head off to defend people overseas but then being involved in the drug trade that kills thousands upon thousands of people....

Glad to see Sam has been identified, and the family can have some degree of closure.

I have search SM with every variation of RB I can imagine, and nothing. I am wondering if he deleted his account recently. Sam had over 1000 friends on SM and not one of them were AD or RB.

People have said he was in the drug scene. One person said that his behaviour was escalating of late due to overuse of cocaine and ice. Someone else said he was owed a lot of drug money.

I am very grateful for our local posters contributions to this thread...
