Ah, good to know how we can refer to a FB post.

Because so much of the sleuthing in this case requires references to FB :websleuther:

And I was trying to remember how we usually do it - because we do always refer to FB.

Yes, I think due to the age of the people involved in this case, FB may be a bit of a caked in goldmine. A lot of people love over sharing on SM (I've never understood this but hey) so I think quite a bit of good stuff may be on FB.

So... nothing new on the ol MSM front then.

I think it will be all quiet on the western front until the next court date. Hopefully some clarity around things will come from that.

thats a good pickup. I knew a dealer that got arrested and his nickname was willy wonka.

Could the "Sweetie Boy" be another nickname for "Candy Man", which equates to a drug trafficker?

:seeya: I'm back!! Am going to quote my post of my take on the robbery (posted almost a month ago in thread 1). My opinion hasn't changed at all, after all that's come to light over the past month.

Also, would like to welcome all new members and thank all members new and old for their insightful posts. It's taken some time getting through them, but more than worth it. Cheers!

Agree about the robbery. For me, it just beggars belief that anyone would go into someone's home with a gun and not wear gloves. I cannot reconcile this on any level, unless the ungloved one visited the house frequently in a known capacity and could account for their fingerprints being there innocently.

Yes, I have wondered about forest CCTV, too. We wondered about that in the forest areas that police have searched in the William Tyrrell case. It is also used in some areas, particularly overseas, to catch poachers/illegal killers of wildlife.

I have heard that there is a solar power attachment to these kinds of CCTV devices, to power the devices, and sometimes that can be seen ... if it has to extend up high to get the sunlight.

It could even be a type of concealed CCTV at the Deep Water Bend Reserve car park, as police have stated that CCTV caught Sam's car there on the day he disappeared, and a local has been unable to see it.

Perhaps they have concealed ones just to reduce the chance of vandalism? If drunken youths hang about there?

Do you have any hunches as to why they called him 'sweety boy' when he was OS, swifty? Is he effeminate in any way?

No idea about the nickname sorry, but he was a typical early 20's guy and definitely no feminine qualities. I only saw the work side of him but he was well liked by everyone and had a good circle of friends. Looking back at photos of him from a few years ago it's hard to believe it's the same guy in the photo above. He was happy and goofing around with his mates, yes he was smiling. It's really kind of sad that things have gone so wrong for him. A lot of people have supported him these last few years, it's a shame he couldn't take that support and do something good with it.

The whole robbery just seems so dodgy to me now.

So, this is Mr Dyball on the 4th March - three days before Sam's murder.

(from our good friend, Facebook)

Wowsers. When you see pictures of him in Syria he looked much healthier. Bright eyes, good skin, just generally healthy. He looks very poorly here, unhealthy and exhausted. Maybe he really enjoyed Syria and when he couldn't get back there, he lost direction/really got stuck into drugs? If he really felt he belonged in Syria, he may have had some trouble adjusting back to a mainstream life?

people from interstate maybe interested etc or other renters that don't worry about that kinda stuff :)

Yes. Some people just do not care as long as the rent is affordable. Some people may even enjoy having quite the talking point for their next BBQ, weird as that seems.

I remember when they put the flat where Morgan Huxley was murdered in Sydney back on the rental market. MSM interviewed people at the viewing - some were totally freaked out when they found out what had happened and left - but others really didn't care. I personally wouldn't want to sleep in a room where a guy had been stabbed to death :scared:

And a nice little pub across the road (nice meals & staff) with cameras to help you with "security"

There is an article here about Jihadist suspects must be stopped from working with children. In the comments below the article there is reference to Dyball and others, and how people having done what they have done going 'postal' (shooting people in a crazy manner) when they return home. Of course, there are lots of comments about the 'bravery' and such of these people, too. And how they don't all go nutty when they are back in our kind of societies (true).

But it does make people wonder about the high-adrenaline, war-torn environments they live in, then their adjustment difficulties when they return home to a more peaceable, law-abiding society.

I'm sure he took RnR in Sweden once before, as I think that's where he got his Reece tattoo?

Hopefully people come in and do cleansing ceremonies with sage.

I think real estate agents in many (if not all?) states are required to disclose if a murder has happened in the home, for precisely this reason.

Real Estate Institute of Queensland CEO Antonia Mercorella told news.com.au the discussion of “stigmatised properties” was one that came up regularly with agents.

“Most agents will have a story about something that they’ve encountered and how they’ve gone about delivering what can be sensitive information. It’s a topic that comes up on a fairly regular basis,” she said.

“It helps to discuss it with other people in the industry because it always reveals cases where people have different perspectives. We all have different thresholds and different views and not everyone would find that very disturbing.”
