Do you have any theories on this?

Well all i can think is that Sam was murdered at RB's house, and was driven in his own vehicle deceased to DWB, and that the perps. were perhaps thinking of dumping him at DWB, and then decided it wasn't a good idea? So came up with another plan, the caboolture site.
Although in this article it states:
Inspector Tresize said the car was spotted at the Deep Water Bend Reserve at 1:00pm on Tuesday, and remained there until early Wednesday morning.

And that is exactly why we are trying to determine if Sam's car left the reserve in the afternoon, and maybe returned there later on the same day. But was seen at the reserve - perhaps off and on by visitors to the car park - for most of the afternoon and evening.

Hence all of our shadows talk.

If nickers was still here, she had lots of good input into this.

That is a great idea. I have been google-earth-walking the area trying to find that driveway for exactly the same reason.
I'm not seeing it in the immediate area. And Google Earth won't take me to a few areas of interest.

Yes .... Lest We Forget :rose:

.
Let me know the areas of interest mate. ... I think msm named the street of the video, will find that for sure

The Mustang was actually first sighted in Wooyung on the Wed....

The Mustang was next sighted at Wooyung near Byron Bay at 7.30pm on Wednesday March 8 before police found it abandoned in bushland in the same suburb on Thursday March 9.

Thank you that is what I was referencing although I had thought it was only on Facebook qld police. I think it was reported Wednesday but at that stage there was no need for concern as he was not known to be missing Wednesday

Just re the Mustang being seen in Wooyung on the Wed...

So either they drove it down on Wed and stayed overnight somewhere in the Byron Shire

or

they went down on Wed, scoped it out, drove back up to Brisbane on the Wed night and then drove it back down on Thurs....(which seems convoluted but is possible).

The Wooyung bit is weird imo.

IMO i think it was there from Wednesday night but nothing of concern until he was reported missing the northern nsw police would have then clicked that it was called in on the Wednesday. So parked there from Wednesday until found ? All MOO

Anywhere there is housing, is where I am looking. By the fencing in the video it seems as though there could be multiple houses along one side of the road. And they do not seem to be the houses near the public toilets (not far from the playground) which is where Google Earth allows me to go.

Sure, that makes sense.

As I've said before....it blows my mind they drove it into Wooyung. Such a small place. Such a conspicuous car.

I wonder what phone calls LE received from Wooyung locals after the case became public and they asked people to ring if they'd seen the car? People would have taken notice.

There is such a big window for the movement of the car.

If it was sighted at DWB Reserve at around midnight on Tuesday, did it remain there all night .. with its last sighting there on Tuesday at midnight, and then it was gone by the time the first visitor to the car park arrived on Wednesday morning?

Did it leave around midnight on Tuesday, and was seen on CCTV somewhere around that time, or later?

There is really a lot of time to play with, for a drive of several hours to Wooyung.

Ages ago, Puggles pointed out about Splendour in the Grass being held there last year. I really think she may have had some validity with her comment. Perhaps an area of familiarity with the perpetrators, due to the concert, and remote and distant enough for them to think it might be a good dumping ground for the vehicle.

Aww ... bummer. Great that you can go again, and Seek as well.

Maybe watch the shadows on the ground, with a little leeway for the move into Autumn? Maybe that will help us predict time of day of that video a little better. :)

So the car was spotted at 1pm. on the 7th. March. It stayed at the DWB until the following day.
From where i imagine the perps. moved it?

In the previous msm article i posted up it stated the car was at DWB overnight until early the next morning.

Just wondering if the keys were left in it both times. I recall it wasn't locked. I really think they wanted it stolen.
